Our tiny rescue has certainly had its ups and downs lately, but through it all, one thing has never changed — we have the most incredible family of fosters, adopters, volunteers, and advocates standing beside us. ❤️

Sweet Gerry, one of our longtime Wiggles, was recently involved in an incident with another dog in his foster home. We are so thankful he is okay and on the road to recovery, but he still has a journey ahead of him.

His amazing foster family has started a fundraiser to help make sure Gerry gets the very best care as he heals. Gerry has spent over a year waiting for his forever family, and if you know Gerry, you know he is pure love.

Every share, comment, donation, and bit of support means the world — not just to Gerry, but to our little rescue too.

We love you, Gerry. Keep fighting, sweet boy. 🤍🐾

🐾 It’s National Rescue Dog Day 🐾

Today we’re celebrating the dogs who have overcome so much and are still waiting with wagging tails and hopeful hearts for someone to choose them. While we love celebrating rescue, our biggest wish today is simple: for our amazing Wiggles to finally find their forever homes.

Some of these sweet souls have been waiting far too long. They’ve mastered couch cuddles, perfected puppy eyes, and are ready to give endless love — all they’re missing is you.

TWO DAYS 🥹🎉🐾

In just TWO days, we celebrate ONE incredible year of Wiggles Way Rescue! One year of second chances, wagging tails, healing hearts, happy endings, and a community that showed up again and again for dogs and cats who needed it most.

While this week has also brought heartache and some very heavy moments for our rescue family, we are choosing to honor why we started this journey in the first place: to save lives, love deeply, and keep moving forward for the animals who still need us. 🩵

We cannot WAIT to celebrate with all of you Saturday . This community has carried us through the highs and lows of rescue, and we’re so grateful to spend this milestone surrounded by people who believe every tail deserves a home.

We’re also incredibly excited to bring together so many amazing friends, supporters, small businesses, vendors, and rescue partners for one unforgettable day. And guess what? It’s still not too late to join in on the fun! 🎉

While we’ve recently shared many joyful moments — and have more hopeful ones ahead — tonight we are sharing heartbreak.

After extensive support, evaluation, management efforts, and many difficult conversations between our leadership and medical team, we made the heartbreaking decision to humanely say goodbye to Boo Boo following serious behavioral concerns that had escalated beyond what could be safely and humanely managed long-term.

This decision was not made lightly. Boo Boo was deeply loved by our team and foster family, and everyone involved is grieving this loss profoundly. Despite every effort, it became clear that his struggles were worsening in ways that were not fair or safe for him or those around him.

Behavioral euthanasia is one of the most painful realities in rescue — and one of the most misunderstood. Sometimes love means recognizing when a dog is suffering in ways we cannot always see, and making the most compassionate decision possible, even when it breaks our hearts.

At this time, we are asking for compassion, kindness, and privacy for the fosters, volunteers, and team members directly impacted as they process this devastating loss. We understand there may be emotions and questions surrounding this decision, but right now our focus is on supporting one another and honoring Boo Boo with dignity, love, and respect.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who cared for, advocated for, and loved Boo Boo during his time with us. He mattered deeply, and he always will.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and compassion. 🩵
