Over the years, we have been approached about doing a "design a foal" option where individuals would have the option to pick one of our available mares and choose which one of our 4 stallions they would like her bred to in order to obtain a foal out of that specific cross.

In theory, the resulting foal (whether c**t or filly) would be sold to the purchaser with a % down in order to do the selected breeding with payments made throughout the confirmed pregnancy and completed by weaning prior to pick up. There would of course be additional stipulations outlined in the contract as well.

So this leads to the following as we ponder the idea:

1: If we were to offer this as an advertised option, who would be interested in pursuing this type of purchase in lieu of purchasing a foal where we choose the stallion for the mare? Why or why not?

2: Is there anything specific you would like/not like to potentially see added into a contract?

Good morning!!
The herd is resting on a warm Saturday morning after a brief, but intense storm last night. Such a good reminder that sometimes we also need those moments to just slow down, rest, relax, and breathe after the storms we encounter in life.
Hope you all have a peaceful day and get some good self-care with a bit of rest & relaxation as well ❤️

Love the fancy little prance & cute head on this boy!! He's something else ❤️🐴
