🩺🎉🐾Sheridan Pet Care celebrated Sidney Harding's last day of her summer internship! 🐾🎉🩺

Today she journeys back to the University of Wyoming to start her last chapter there. We are rooting for her acceptance into veterinary school next fall.

It has been our pleasure to watch Sidney grow. Last summer she got to join Dr. Ingersoll on house calls and this summer she got to play an integral part of helping Sheridan Pet Care launch our brick and mortar practice.

Sidney jumped right in! She helped write Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance logs for all our new equipment, learn subcutaneous injections, help with anesthesia monitoring, fill medications, develop patient handling skills, take radiographs, learn surgical instrument care and prep, protocols and procedures, and best of all blossom.

Thank you Sidney for all your help! There's no doubt we will miss you!

Join us in congratulating Sidney on how far she has come! She will make a great veterinarian one day! We are so thankful you chose us to be a part of your story!

The stars seemed to have aligned and we couldn't be happier with the expertise of Heather Lewis and Animal Arts Design.

Heather was exceptional in every sense of the word. From consulting around the world on hospital design, her fascination with historic buildings, to her quick thoughtful responses, we were so lucky to have her help!

She serves on the Fear Free board and was one of the architect firm's founding leaders decades ago. If you see an article about hospital design in a veterinary magazine, odds are, Heather wrote it.

Thank you Animal Arts for helping make this space true to our mission and seeing the potential along side us.

Brooks recently finished his puppy vaccine series - isn't he the cutest!

But, out in the yard at play he injured his hind toe! 🐾🚑

With his nail pointing the wrong direction and blood in between his toes, it was anyone's guess what he did! If only our patients could talk.

An x-ray revealed he avulsed the ungual process of the distal phalanx - fancy terminology for a small piece of bone breaking off the bone under the nail - He likely torqued the nail enough to get it bleeding at the nail bed, causing swelling and pain. The nail was stable enough to keep for now and monitor.

Nothing a peanut butter lick mat couldn't take his mind off of.

Brooks did great for his foot soak. He even got to relax in a cozy bed in our fear free Casco Kennels!

Thank you Branded 307 Roofing and Exteriors for working on the weekend to get us our new roof!!

Inspection revealed old wooden shake shingles on half the roof with layers upon layers, then we had shingles blow away in our winter wind storms. That combined with an old historic building meant new roof time!!

This heat has been no joke, so we super appreciate all the hard work!!!

DeeDee developed sudden onset glaucoma in her left eye likely due to a lens luxation.

Eye drops were unfortunately ineffective for her treatment and her eye pressures continued to increase, leading to the loss of vision in her left eye and pain.

She did great for her surgery and we are also happy to see her smile!
