Just to clear something up about the FUN SHOW portion of sanctioned events since some people seem confused.
Yes, this registry is absolutely dog-oriented. We care deeply about preserving breeds, honoring breed standards, showcasing beautiful dogs, working ability, and performance events like weight pull and other sports. That is a huge part of why registries and conformation exist in the first place.
But the FUN SHOW portion is different by design.
A fun show is meant to bring more people into the community, especially those who may not normally participate in sanctioned competition. It’s about inclusion, memories, laughs, and introducing people to the dog world without making everything feel so serious or inaccessible from day one.
That’s why the fun show is intentionally open-minded. While dog-oriented, people can bring mixed breeds, rescues, pet dogs, farm animals, cats, or honestly whatever they want to participate and have fun.
Also, the “Coolest Bull” trophy was literally designed as a fun trophy featuring a bull character with a nose ring and glasses. It was not stating the winning dog had to be a bull breed. It was simply a playful FUN SHOW award.
So yes, a mixed breed winning that trophy is completely okay. Cool is subjective. Fun is subjective. That is literally the point.
No matter which registry it is, big or small, communities survive by welcoming new people in, not by gatekeeping them out. That’s why shows are falling off now everybody so serious and don’t know how to enjoy themselves. We still GOING GLOBAL TOGETHER 🏆🌎💪🏽.
