Hello friends!

An important announcement regarding pet care.

Leash By The Lake will be closing (excluding previously scheduled care as discussed with each family) on June 29th.

My private client that I've provided weekly care for since February has offered me a full-time position which I have happily accepted.

It feels like a natural fit for me and I'm very much looking forward to my future with them.

I haven't been here long but I'm confident you will find great pet care with other providers.

I have become very close to Pecher's Pet's LLC and they will be caring for my own pups as I transition to my new position. I also hear wonderful things about Cassidy's All-In-One Pet Care, LLC and Big Dog Sit and Stay.

I'm obsessed with this girl.

Cashmere is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met and I have no idea why she isn't adopted.

She's being fostered by Tilly's Pit Crew (who I volunteer for) and I'm caring for her this weekend.

Cash is 4-5 years old.

She loves every person she meets and is crate trained.

She could have a happy life with other dogs if introduced correctly and would likely be ok to live with cats if you're willing to work on it!

A big thank you to Pecher's Pet's LLC . I was panicking yesterday because I worked late and my husband couldn't get home to let out the puppy. Even though they havent been to my home , they zoomed right over to care for my pets. They sent lots of pictures and a great update. Thank you!

I will not be taking additional care for the month of June.

I am on puppy maternity leave.

What do we call that, pupternity leave?

My family just adopted a 14 week old Alaskan Malamute x Siberian Husky puppy.

She is beautiful, she is sweet, and she is A LOT of work.

I need to focus on training her this month and acclimating her to new people and places so I will be taking a few weeks off from new requests.

It's the dreaded Two Headed Doggo!!

Just kidding. This is Jayvee and Pashar.

I'm back in Wausau, house sitting until Sunday.

These aren't my house sitting pups.

In fact I'm not even getting paid for this visit because I just come if I'm in town and their owner needs me.

I can't speak for every Pet Sitter, but for me...? After I care for your pet a couple of times I consider them family.

Coming back to Wausau I've taken other people's pet care visits and surprised the owner in pictures, just showed up when the owners were home to say hi and texted them out of the blue asking "can xx come out to play?"

I really, really love your pets.

Life has just been a bit hectic lately.

I'd like you to meet his weekend's adventure buddy!

I have a 24 hour pet sit for a few days with Mr. Karl

(24 hours means I only leave your pet briefly. For example, I'm heading out to care for a cat shortly but will come right back.)

If your pet goes to Central Bark, you may recognize this little man.

He's six pounds of long walks and long snoozes. He loves car rides which is so fun, we've been going wherever the wind takes us!

The last (but not least) member of this week's Cat Crew is Jet.

Jet is the youngest. He's beautiful, weird, and just a bit creepy. He mostly sleeps under covers, has zoomies where he bats at everything in sight or stares at us with glowing yellow eyes. 👀

We love our Jet Pack.

He keeps his sisters young.

The second member of this week's cat pack (if she could, she would tell you she's the first, thank you very much) is Ms. Taffy.

She's the sweetest little lady. She sits politely at my feet and waits for me to put her on my lap . She's absolutely gorgeous and I'm quite sure she knows it.

Taffy is on an inhaler twice a day.

If you've never seen a cat with an inhaler it's not quite as difficult as you may think.

I wanted to show you how it's done but after about ten attempts I discovered that it's virtually impossible to take a photo and demonstrate at the same time.

Thankfully I have a four year old who thinks she's a cat.

It works out. 😆
