Sharon Dog Park

Sharon Dog Park The dog park is fully fenced in with double entry gates and a smaller area park for The Sharon Dog Park is open to all dogs and their people.

One of the few fenced-in dog parks in the area, the Sharon Dog Park is a place for dogs of all breeds to run, frolic, catch balls, wrestle, sniff butts and just be a dog. It is a safe place for dogs to play off leash. The park is fenced, and water is available spring to fall.

A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out to help with the Sharon Dog Park cleanup today. We know how hard it is to carve out time, especially with everything else happening around town, sports, birthdays, school activities, and all the other commitments that fill our weekends.

Thanks to your help, we accomplished so much:

* Covered many holes around the park with wood chips
* Removed lots of thorny wild rose bushes so pups can run freely without getting scratched
* Cleared dead trees and branches
* Added a toy box to the fence

And to anyone else who wanted to pitch in but couldn’t make it: we left a couple of shovels in the middle of the park, and we’d be so grateful for any help spreading the remaining wood chips!

Finally, if you have a kiddie pool lying around that you no longer need, we’d be happy to give it a new life at the dog park for our pups to enjoy. we’ll take it as a donation.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the dog moms. 💐🐾

We see you - all the sleepless nights, all the worrying over every weird sound, every skipped meal, every limp that magically disappears the second you call the vet, all the added stress of trying to figure out what’s wrong when your baby can’t just say it.

Today we celebrate every kind of mom and anyone who loves, worries, cares, cleans up messes, and gives their whole heart.

Happy Mother’s Day from Sharon Dog Park. 💛🐶

We’re going to cancel today’s Sharon Dog Park Cleanup for everyone’s safety and comfort. We’ll post a new cleanup date soon, once we have a chance to regroup and coordinate a time that works.

Thank you so much to everyone who signed up and was ready to show up for the park. We are so grateful for your willingness to help us get Sharon Dog Park ready for the summer season.

Reposting. Hope this pup finds his family soon!

Update 2/19: This nice dog has still not been claimed by an owner, but he did have a nice walk with Dog Hiking today and is enjoying the soft snow.

Update 2/18: no one has called to claim him in spite of being posted far and wide, including the Dover ACO putting up flyers around where he was found. He’s keeping busy by taking our volunteers for walks, making snow angels, and fetching toys.

This handsome, sweet, lively Border Collie type dog was found in last night (2/13) and still hasn’t been claimed. He does not have a microchip and was not wearing a collar. He is so sweet, knows commands and walks well on leash. Please call the Dover Police Station 508 785-1130 or the Medfield Shelter 508 359-8989 to claim him if he is your dog, or if you know who he belongs to.

We’ve had a go at poetry. Please lower your expectations accordingly.

This was our (loving but misguided) attempt to say a proper thank you to everyone who comes to the park — and an extra-big shout to those who’ve donated recently. You absolute legends. 💚🐾

And if you haven’t donated yet: consider tossing a little love into the park fund https://www.sharondogpark.org/

Thanks to the work of this selfless volunteer, who chose to remain anonymous, the entrances (and exits) have been dug out and the park is available for use by our four-legged friends.❄️

Hey neighbors!

We’ve seen some chatter about dog park funding and wanted to set the record straight:

The Sharon Dog Park is maintained entirely by the Friends of Sharon Dog Park — a small group of local dog parents who donate their time and funds. We rely on community support and donations to cover waste removal, free p**p bags, and general upkeep. 🌳🐕

So while our pups might be experts at splashing in puddles, the town’s budget doesn’t fetch any of our tennis balls.

Thanks for keeping tails wagging, spirits high🐾 and support us at

Fully fenced-in area surrounded by beautiful trails, the Sharon Dog Park is a space for dogs of all breeds to run, frolic, catch balls, wrestle, sniff butts and just be happy.

If you’ve ever found yourself smiling at the gate while your pup runs in, chatted with someone new, or thought, “I really hope this park stays in great shape,” this is your sign.

We’re looking for friends to join “Friends of the Sharon Dog Park” committee to help with fundraising that covers essential park services—things like ongoing upkeep and the basics that keep the park clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone (two- and four-legged).

We’d love to hear from you if you:

- Care about the park and want to make a positive impact
- Enjoy helping behind the scenes (ideas + introductions go a long way)
- Have connections with other neighborhood/community organizations (or want to help build them)
- Can commit to a quick Zoom meeting once a quarter

This isn’t a huge time commitment—it’s a “many hands make light work” kind of team. The goal is simple: keep Sharon Dog Park thriving and make it even better over time.

If you’re interested (or even just curious), comment “I’m in” or send me a message. I’d love to chat and share what we’re thinking.
