Client Highlight: Stanley 🐾

Stanley is a sweet old man who’s very set in his ways. He’s not much of a people person and can feel anxious when his dad is away, so it took a little time (and a few tricks of the trade) to earn his trust. These days, I’m happy to say we’re best friends.

I even cracked the code on getting him to eat while his family is away — which was a big win for all of us. My favorite part of our visits is our nighttime routine, when Stanley curls up in bed with me for snuggles before we turn in.

I always look forward to caring for Stanley, and it’s been a pleasure working with his pet parents, Patricia and Steve. Their care and communication make working with Stanley that much easier.

Client highlight: Teddy 🐶 🐾

Teddy is a high-energy dog, so our visits usually mean a lot of active play and long walks at night to help him settle. He needs to be on a leash or tethered at all times outside, so structure and safety are a big part of his care.

After a good play session, he’s all about couch snuggles. He also keeps a close eye on his cat sisters, Rockett and Harriet, and gets a little jealous if they get too much attention.

I really enjoy visits like this. Every pet is different, and I like figuring out what helps them feel calm and happy by the end of the visit.
