Blackberry blooms = berries on the way… and judging by how loaded these plants are, we’re gearing up for a LOT of them this season 🫐

That means all the good stuff is coming—small batch jams, preserves, syrups, and if we play our cards right… maybe even some fresh pies 👀

Out in the field, the pumpkins are officially in the ground too 🎃 We’re aiming for a full pumpkin patch this fall, so now we just need a little sunshine, a little rain, and a lot of patience.

Stay tuned—Scoopin Roots is about to be busy in the best way 🌱

Planting time 🌱
Nothing fancy, just family, dirt, and seeds going in the ground. Going for the big field this year and grateful to build it together.
Little moments like this turn into something big. Don’t be afraid to plant something of your own!

🌰 Calling All Foragers & Nature Lovers! 🌿

We’re on the hunt for black walnut trees around the mountain! If you know of any good spots (especially where the squirrels haven’t already claimed them 😉), we’d love your recommendations.

Black walnuts are a true Appalachian treasure — rich, earthy, and packed with nutrients. Foraging native foods like these connects us to the land and traditions that have been here for generations. It’s a beautiful reminder that nature still provides some of the best flavors out there. 💚

Drop your walnut finds or favorite foraging tips below — let’s keep the local harvest spirit alive! 🌾

It’s that time of year again — digging, dividing, and dreaming up new gardens! There’s something so rewarding about taking what you already have and helping it flourish in new spaces.

I’ve been focusing more on growing ornamentals lately, and with a little time and patience, it’s amazing how two plants can turn into twenty!

I’m especially excited to be expanding my collection — I’ll have several beautiful varieties of lilies and iris ready for next year’s season!

Big shout-out to Adrienne from The Garden of Adrienne! 🌸

The past few weeks we’ve gotten so much accomplished together — sold a ton of bouquets, set up for a wedding, and made so many people smile in the process. Watching how hard Adrienne works has given me a whole new respect for the world of cut flowers.

It’s hard to explain just how much time, knowledge, and effort goes into each bloom unless you’ve been out on the farm and experienced it firsthand. The tractor may prep the ground, but after that it’s all by hand — planting, tending, harvesting, arranging. Adrienne pours her heart into every step, and it shows in the beauty she shares with the world.

Grateful to be able learn and working alongside her! 💐✨
