The FDA is warning pet owners after testing found harmful bacteria in eight samples of Raaw Energy dog food, including Listeria, Salmonella, Campylobacter, and E. coli O157 🦠
Testing followed a consumer complaint to the Connecticut Department of Agriculture about a dog illness. Eight unopened samples collected by CTDA and the New Jersey Department of Agriculture all tested positive for pathogenic bacteria.
Raaw Energy Dog Food is ordered online and picked up in person. Raaw Energy products are not labeled with lot codes, so batches are identified by a date code (date of manufacture) printed on white stickers on the individual plastic tubes and the brown cardboard box. The products are sold frozen in brown cardboard boxes containing 10 clear plastic tubes. Each box features a white stick-on label listing the product flavor, ingredients, and date code.

What to Do: Stop feeding this food to your pet immediately.
Throw the food away so that children, pets, and wildlife cannot get to it.
Disinfect all surfaces & utensils that may have come into contact with the product.
