Did you know one female cat can have up to 3 litters a year, with 4–6 kittens per litter? That’s potentially 18 kittens from just one cat in 12 months — making spaying and neutering an important part of helping manage outdoor cat populations.

🚨 Extreme Heat! 🚨

🌡️ The temperatures are climbing, and the heat can become dangerous for both people and pets.

🐾 Help keep your pets safe by:
• Limiting walks and outdoor play to the early morning or late evening.
• Providing plenty of fresh, cool water at all times.
• Making sure outdoor pets have access to shade and a cool place to rest.
• Avoiding hot pavement—it can burn paw pads in seconds.
• Never leaving pets in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

⚠️ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse. If you suspect your pet is overheating, move them to a cool area and contact your veterinarian right away.

These five adorable 6-week-old Beagle/Rat Terrier puppies recently visited Dr. Darla Dwyer for their very first wellness exams at NCVC!

A puppy's first visit is an important step toward a healthy future. During these appointments, we perform a thorough physical exam, begin vaccinations, discuss nutrition and parasite prevention, and answer any questions to help new puppy owners get off to a great start.

Please help us welcome Wilton to the Nemaha Central Veterinary Clinic family! This adorable pup recently stopped by for his very first puppy wellness exam. 🐶❤️

A puppy’s first visit is an important step in starting them off on the right paw. During these appointments, we provide a comprehensive physical exam, discuss nutrition and preventive care, begin vaccinations, answer questions, and help new pet owners feel confident as they navigate life with their new furry family member.
