Anchors aweigh on the sweet treats! ⚓️🐶
Sometimes the roughest seas make the sweetest harbors. We’ve had a few stormy waves and rocky moments on our voyage together over the year, but moments like this make every single knot worth traveling.

Right now, my heavy-duty seadog is fast asleep, snoring like a foghorn, tucked right up against me, and absolutely refusing to abandon ship on my lap. Seeing him feel so safe, drop his anchor, and completely surrender to cuddles means the absolute world to me.

Navigating life with a dog who needs extra care and boundaries isn't always smooth sailing, but I wouldn't trade being his caregiver for all the treasure in the sea. So proud of how far we’ve come and so happy to share this cozy port with one of my favorite furry crewmates! 🌊❤️🐾

Setting sail with a shy crewmate takes a special kind of patience! ⚓️ Meet Mr. T, a handsome fellow who preferred to anchor in his own quiet sanctuary while his parents were away.
For timid pets, comfort is all about respecting their boundaries. Here is how I navigated Mr. T's care:
* Top-Deck Essentials: Kept his litter box pristine, his food dish topped off, and his water bowl fresh daily.
* Daily Check-Ins: Checked on him every single day to ensure he was safe and sound, snapping a quick photo update for his parents to keep their minds at ease.
* Gentle Enrichment: Tested the waters with a distance-friendly laser pointer to offer some fun without crowding his space, though he politely declined. I also set out a little catnip to see if it floated his boat, then cleared it away the next day when he proved unbothered.
* Respecting Boundaries: Granted him all the space he needed to feel secure in his own harbor, letting him set the pace without any pressure.
During our 7 days together, even though he stayed shy and kept his distance, he showed some amazing signs of bravery! On day one, I found him hiding away in the closet. But day by day, he ventured into new spots around his room, and eventually, he was brave enough to step out into the hallway closer to where I was between the kitchen and his dining quarters. I was so excited to see him make progress, and I'm so proud of him!
