A Seattle-based artist and crafter of many mediums, my current projects are always changing and shifting as inspiration or serendipity strikes. My primary focus at the moment is fiber art crafts, with a bit of oil painting thrown in to keep things interesting. Whenever possible, I use upcycled or thrifted materials in my creations, so as to do my small part to reduce negative impacts on the earth.

Today, Facebook reminded me that 5 years ago I made some waldorf style pirate dolls, AND I remembered that just last Spring I was reacquainted with old Yellowbeard when I found him in my friend's home. I gifted him to her son (then 5 years old) and Yellowbeard managed to survive through not just the 5 year old's play, but also the rambunctious (now 4 year old) baby that followed. I feel like he's lived up to his namesake. :)

I've had almost no time for crafting this summer, but I have been able to do some painting. I'm particularly proud of this little guy! It may be a while before I do fur again though, because it felt like all those little brush strokes took a million years to do!
