When I was growing up, my dad would send me postcards from everywhere he traveled to in the Navy. In 8th grade, on a trip to New York City with my mom, I had an ah-hah moment … I wanted to take the pictures on those postcards myself, and not just buy them in a store. My parents bought me my first “real camera” after that trip & the way I saw the world was changed forever. I fell in love with photo

graphing weddings when I was just seventeen years old. I arrived at the University of Virginia knowing I wanted to make a career of documenting people in love. I assisted one of Charlottesville’s best wedding photographers for all four years of college & struck out on my own before graduation. I know weddings inside and out – from my experience as a wedding planner, to working for custom letterpress stationers. I have photographed over 100 weddings and love to help my couples with every step of the planning process. My (now) husband, Kevin, and I decided to begin our own adventure together by moving to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 2012. We enjoy trying out new restaurants, hanging at local breweries, and taking our adorable puppy, Lemon*, on walks in our neighborhood. We love to travel, whether it’s visiting my family back on the east coast or jetting off to Thailand for our honeymoon. I know first hand that marriage is awesome and I’m excited to get to document the beginning of yours!

It’s here! My final seasonal blog post of 2022! 🎉

I have had the joy + privilege of photographing over 200 maternity, newborn and family sessions this year. (!!!)

I have grown so much as a photographer through my own parenting journey, and I am so proud to bring that love, admiration and intentionality to my work. I love connecting deeply with my families, and growing alongside them.

I have also heard so so many stories from my families about their own experiences with infertility + IVF, and I am so moved by that thread we get to share.

I love seeing all of the pregnancy announcements this time of year!! If you’re expecting in 2023 and looking for a newborn photographer, I wanted to clue you in on how it works to book with me!

1. Head on over to the link in my profile to access my easy online booking site and click “Newborn”.
2. Select the available date approximately 1 week after your due date. This is just a place-holder and will get you on my calendar!
3. Let me know when baby arrives and we’ll get you scheduled! I typically photograph babies around 2-3 weeks old.

I specialize in lifestyle, in-home newborn photography. This means cozy, whole family (pets included!) portraits to document this exciting and precious time! Sessions typically last about an hour to an hour-and-a-half and include your edited, full resolution images in an online gallery with printing rights!

Plus, I offer a discount when you bundle your newborn photography with a maternity session! I love getting to capture both milestones for my families!

I am SO excited to finally release Holiday Tinies THIS FRIDAY 9/23 at 11am! I'll be sending out the booking link via my newsletter, so set your alarms! If you’re not on the list yet, be sure to sign up via my link in profile!

They will be held on Saturday, November 12th at a beautiful studio near UW! (Where I hosted my Mommy & Me Minis this year - classic/simple backdrop, pictured here)!

$425 (+tax) session fee includes your edited, high resolution images in an online gallery with printing rights. I am to deliver your final gallery before Thanksgiving!

Besides Holiday Tinies, my schedule is currently booked through 2022 for family sessions. However, I am currently booking full Maternity Sessions through December + Newborn Sessions through March! Booking via link in profile!

I will be releasing fall/holiday session dates TOMORROW - Friday, July 22, at 11am! I put together a little blog post showing some of my mini session locations in the fall so you can have a visual for where you may want to shoot this season. Mini Session location options include: Green Lake Park, Discovery Park, Gas Works Park, Golden Gardens and Carkeek Park. Minis are only available on weekdays + Alternative locations are available for an additional fee.

New on the blog! 🎉 The chaos + joy of three! I have had a few newborn sessions recently with families welcoming their third babies – and I’ve gotta say, I LOVE the chaos and joy of three!! It is so much fun to capture the personalities of the big siblings with a new little one in the mix. There is so much energy! I love how parents accept and embrace the wild and craziness that is their growing family, and allow me to document the little moments. The quiet snuggles with mom and dad, the tickle fights and gentle (or not so gentle!) kisses.

Hey friends! Big announcement! 🎉 I recently shared with my past clients that starting next week I will be implementing an online booking calendar!! I am hoping this will streamline the process of seeing my availability, as well as booking sessions with me moving forward. My goal is to make things as simple + easy as I can, and make your experience working with me even better!

Dates will be released seasonally, beginning with summer dates (June through August) to be announced on Tuesday, June 7th at 11am via my newsletter. If you’re not already on the list, be sure to sign up via my link in profile!
*Just a heads up, dates will be very limited due to sessions already on the books + plans scheduled!

Fall/holiday dates will be released at the end of July (exact date to be announced via the newsletter).

Maternity + Newborn dates will also be open through the remainder of 2022 - I only take a select number of newborn sessions each month, so if you’re expecting (or know someone who is!) be sure to mark your calendar/share with a friend!
*Newborns are currently at capacity through August!

New on the blog! 😍 I am thrilled to share some of our amazing newborn photos by my friend .photo! I had been waiting for and dreaming of doing this session for so long – and this mama heart is so happy looking through these images!

I have SO much respect for my clients for getting themselves upright to take newborn photos with me 🤣 We ended up shoving just about everything into our dining room to make our rooms presentable. It was a great reminder that your family/your home are not supposed to be perfect – it is our jobs as photographers to simply capture the love and joy of your new addition! I feel so honored to get to capture these special memories for my families!

Fitz ended up sleeping through our entire photoshoot which documented him just how he was at that age – a sleepy little newborn!

“Hello! I’m so glad you’re here! I am a maternity, newborn and lifestyle family photographer based in Seattle, Washington. My style is true-to-life, bright & cheerful. It is my absolutely joy to capture life’s milestones for my clients – from anniversaries to pregnancies, birthdays and beyond!

In the fall of 2021, we welcomed our first baby, Fitz! After a long journey with infertility, and ultimately IVF, we were so thrilled to bring our baby boy into the world. Becoming a mother has given me even more love, joy and admiration for the families I document! I love being able to bring this perspective and understanding to my sessions. Now more than ever I appreciate the power of photography to capture moments and make memories last!”

Hellooo 2022!! I had my first official shoot back from maternity leave this weekend and I loved getting to spend it with this wonderful family! I’ve known for years and it was so fun to see her as a mama! Their pup, Franklin, also got a gold star ⭐️ I have a whole new appreciation for + love of these sweet newborn sessions 🥰
Giving myself lots of grace as I transition into part time working + mom-ing, and SO grateful for the support + care of Fitz’s grandma “Gigi” who is helping make it possible!
