I have spent many years pouring myself into my amazing event, Research For Rachel. From a small idea that was brought together by my team of family and friends; to receiving awards and recognition for our outstanding efforts and donations. Π―4R has simply captured hearts and brought people together.

2025 was my personal mission and promise to myself. I found love, I became body positive and I took time to breathe. Π―4R will not be having a 2025 event. This was a difficult choice to make; but one I do not regret. Choosing myself meant fundraising, planning on my own time and simply giving myself grace.

I want to announce our first 2026 Π―4R GOLD SPONSOR! Inspire HOPE Occupational and Physical Therapy. Melissa reached out to me with open arms and a touching personal story of struggle and success. We quickly connected and shared our love of community and giving back. Today I honor Melissa and her fight against breast cancer. She fought and SHE WON! Melissa now spreads the much needed love and support through her amazing Physical Therapy program.

Π―4R is a promise of hope, healing and community. We are honored to welcome such a fierce member to our team πŸ’•

I want to share a personal win. Yesterday was a instrumentally tough, great and heartfelt day. I took 4th over all in my age group, along with a Champion win in the In Hand division. I remember coming home after surgery, being terrified of my own horses; the same horses that I loved and raised. I was simply too shaken up to give love back. What if they kicked me? Bit me? Bucked me off? I was fresh out of the Operating Room with a hole in my head; I was scared for a long time. My horses waited for me. I didn’t ride until 6 months after my surgery. My horses waited for me. I cried and shook and wore a helmet the first time I tried to ride again. My horses waited for me. I screamed and mourned the fearless cowgirl I use to be; my horses waited for me. I truly processed the stages of grief this year. Winning a championship buckle along with placing 4th over all was something I worked incredibly hard for all year. Nonetheless so close to the anniversary of brain surgery. While my horses continue to wait for me; I will continue to beat all the odds against me.
