Voices are continually heckling farmers, demanding they stop the abuse, the cruelty, the environmental changes, the crop production, the education.
Everyone wants to tell a farmer how to farm, until itâs time to actually to walk the walk. Then farming is too hard, not enough money to be made, 365 days a year, in every type of weather, insert one of many, MANY excuses.
The lack of education on animal husbandry and food production is astonishing. Donât believe me? Just read through some comments on your favorite farm page!
1.3% of our US population are farmers, 10.5% are related to the agricultural and food sectors. Thatâs a huge weight on the shoulders of few. Itâs been reported that by 2030 our current farmers will age out, with no one taking over their roles.
If you have truly genuine questions about a practice you see, ASK! Most farmers love to share their knowledge and gush over what they produce.
Those who are complaining without actually taking any action to feed themselves, youâre literally biting the hands that feed you.
So when one spends time belittling, degrading and slandering those who grow the food, soon when you make the trip to that trendy grocer, all you may be eating is your wordsâŚâŚ
