Chicagoland Dog Rescue (CDR) is a 501(c)(3) shelter-less dog rescue 100% run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are in foster homes, but we do board some dogs we take in at vets when necessary.

Hi! I’m Marina! I’m a Lab mix pup with adorable airplane ears, a heart full of love, and a serious passion for belly rubs. My hobbies include collecting kisses, going for car rides (I’m an excellent backseat passenger), zooming around the yard like a tiny rocket, and then crashing for a well-earned nap.

I’m already learning my manners. I know sit, I go outside to potty, and I sleep peacefully in my crate all night. I’m friendly with other dogs (although those tiny ones are a little intimidating!), and I’m more of a lover than a barker.

If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy sidekick who will make you laugh, cover you in kisses, and happily roll over for belly rubs, I think we should meet. I promise to bring the love—you just bring the treats!

Rev it up for the upcoming Chicagoland Dog Rescue motorcycle charity run hosted by Woof Den Pet Resort, LLC on Sunday, October 4th!

$25 per bike | $10 per passenger

Before the ride:
- Register between 10am and 11am
- Be in position for kickstands up at 11:30am

During the ride:
- Enjoy the scenic backroads of the Woodstock area for about an hour

After the ride:
- Take a chance at winning a raffle basket and 50/50 split the pot
- Meet some of our adoptable dogs
- Enjoy the after party at Niko's Red Mill Tavern in Woodstock

Hi, I'm Ryan! With my handsome tri-colored coat, fun-loving personality, and sweet nature, I'm ready to find my forever family!

I'm a happy, energetic pup who loves playing ball, making new friends, and spending time with my favorite people. I adore people of all ages, including kids, and I get along great with other dogs. After I've burned off some energy, I'm always up for snuggling on the couch.

I am potty and crate trained!

🌸🌞🐾That's how long sweet Sunny waited to find her forever family.

🌸🌞🐾Sunny came into CDR in December of 2023 as a pregnant mom. She delivered 12 healthy puppies who had long since found their forever homes, but due to some initial trust issues and doing best in a home where she could be queen of the castle Sunny waited for hers.

🌸🐾🌞Her foster mom saw an amazing dog who just needed some time and the right family to come along. It took almost 3 years but it's happened!

🌸🐾🌞Sunny is in an amazing home with people who adore her and who she seemed to instantly love right back! 🏆🥳 In fact it was hard to get her to stop wiggling when taking her adoption photos.

Congratulate Sunny on her forever home and enjoy our photo dump of her adoption celebration wiggles as well as her first few days settling in! 🥰

BTW Sunny has strict instructions from her new owner not to love her boyfriend more..... but as you can see from the pictures we're not sure how that's going and if she's going to keep that promise. 🤣😍

Raise a glass for Chicagoland Dog Rescue at our Barktober Fest this October 3rd, from 1 to 4 pm at Sew Hop'd! Enjoy craft beers, a delicious food truck, and meet some of our adoptable dogs.

Activities include:
