**FOR ADOPTION**

June may be over, but it is still Pride Month all year long for this lovely couple! Orion and Atreus are a bonded pair of male Ringneck doves. Although both enjoy flirting and showing off for the ladies, they always return to each other at the end of the day. Atreus is the larger and bolder of the two, always leading Orion into trouble. Both are very loud and energetic, and not at all shy about showing their affection for one another!

Both doves are used to people, but they do not like to be held. They would do great in a home, but they might need to be kept separate from other doves. They could also do well in an aviary if it is large enough for everyone to have their own space. They are currently living in a 10x12' outdoor building, but it is proving too small for all their drama!

These two would be perfect for someone just wanting a pair of doves without the worry of them laying or hatching eggs!

Gallicoo is now on Rescue Me! I do have birds for adoption, doves and pigeons, couples and singles, young and old! I will be posting some of them here as I find time. I do not ship, but I can adopt out locally. Located in Scappoose Oregon, near Portland Oregon and Vancouver Washington.

Sorry for the lack of updates! Between fixing sewing machines, taking care of a new puppy, and caring for birds (around 100 live here now!) I have not had any time to post updates. However, if you would like to help support the birds, I am currently offering lineart commissions. Here is an example of my work. I can draw just about any animal you want!

Rest in Peace sweet little Pixiedust. This young one came in a little over two weeks ago. Other than being underweight, he seemed healthy and in good spirits. He was growing into his adult voice and was very full of himself. Unfortunately, he took an sudden turn yesterday, and passed away this afternoon. I will be taking him to the Lake Oswego Avian Clinic tomorrow for a necropsy.

Sweet Gerti is the latest bird to arrive at the sanctuary. He was rescued by some kind folks who refused to give up on him, when everyone else they spoke to could only offer euthanasia.

Gerti does not currently have use of his legs. I don't know if he will ever walk again, but many disabled pigeons still live long and fulfilling lives. Despite being feral, Gerti is incredibly friendly, eating out of my hands and nibbling/preening my fingers. He loves head scratches!

I apologize to everyone for the lack of updates, this year has been incredibly busy. It feels like new birds are coming in on a weekly basis now :( Icarus the dove was brought to the sanctuary back in June, seemingly healthy. Unfortunately, he is now loosing his ability to balance and walk. We have an appointment with an avian vet on Friday, but a recent influx of rescues (and veterinary visits) has left us critically low on funds. Our vet has estimated that Icarus's initial visit will cost between $200 and $250. If you can donate even a little bit, it would be greatly appreciated!
