 it finally happened 😅 - Here at GossMania Silkies
We’re expanding with TWO more coops just for my paint and buff silkies! 🐓✹
I guess you could say my “little hobby” has officially turned into a full-blown silkie addiction
 and I’m not even sorry about it.
These new coops will help me continue growing and improving my lines so I can offer more baby chicks and hatching eggs in the future. I’m so excited to see what’s ahead!
Thank y’all for following along and supporting this journey — it truly means so much.

Between feeding Silkies, checking brooders, filling waterers, and chasing the occasional escape artist, a good pair of boots is a must on the homestead.

So I’m curious

What’s your favorite work boot for farm chores?
Brand, style, slip-on, lace-up — tell me what holds up the best!
Always looking for a pair that can handle mud, feathers, and a full day tending to chores around my little homestead.

Holly, our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian, had her first set of shots and a checkup at the vet today. She did so good! The only trouble we had was Holly wanting to play and make friends with every doggie that walked into the office.

Her checkup went great, and we’ll head back in a few weeks for her booster shots. I’m thankful to have a healthy girl who will be watching over all the fluff here at GossMania Homestead & GossMania Silkies.

My silkies are getting a special treat today here at GossMania Silkies! I just found this 11 lb bag of Impeckables Black Soldier Fly Larvae & Mealworms, and the flock is pretty excited about it.

Black soldier fly larvae are packed with natural protein and calcium, which helps support strong eggshells, healthy feathers, and overall flock health. The mealworms add an extra protein boost too, which is great during molting or when birds need a little extra nutrition.

I love giving my birds treats that are both tasty and beneficial. Healthy birds = fluffy, happy silkies!
