Cindy Yee Kong, author of The Eyes of the Lion, found Grace Animal Rehabilitation Center Inc. under the pressing need of rescueing and re-homing overpopulated stray cats in her community. Her love for domesticated animals began when she was comforted by a rescue kitten in her trying time.

Stories like Pumpkin's happen everyday. Pumpkin is a young cat whose natural spraying behavior caused such an overwhelming situation that his owner's landlord told her to rehome him or move out. She loves him deeply and does not want to lose him but she cannot afford the surgery on her own. GARC is looking for local volunteers to help us keep doing this work! She loves him. She does not want to lose him. But she also cannot afford the neuter surgery that will stop the spraying and allow them to stay together. So she reached out to GARC for help.
