Few pics I took this weekend. Sixi shrimp. Hard to capture the metallic. The sixi boa has strong snowflake genetics as well. So even non boas such as fishbone galaxies display great snowflake traits even more than boas at times.

I was fortunate to have 2 groups of caradina place in the aquashella Chicago shrimp contest this past weekend 9/26 . These two groups placed first. The Sixi Shrimp Red Snowfalls, and the orange eye black pintos whith white cape. The red snowfalls also placed best of show. In the previous post I have the link of all the winners. Congratulations to everyone .

These placed 1st place. Klein blue sixi shrimp. Extreme blue bolts are very color temperemental. The blue contrast depends on their mood ,water parameters. For example when they are unhappy with water conditions such as being introduced into a new tank chances are they will lose the intensity of the blue, such as female in the last picture. Happy berried females can be an intense blue. These klein blues are originally from Sixi Shrimp breeder.

Purple body mint tigers (Tb) These placed 2nd place. These have to be one of my favorite shrimp. The best specimens have the full tiger stripes going all through the back. The color of the stripes can range from a baby blue to mint green.

The official winners of the American Shrimp Contest at Aquashella New Jersey held on September 12–13, 2026, have been announced. [1, 2]
