In Memoriam — K9 Jango
End of Watch — April 27, 2021

Today, we honor and remember K9 Jango, who was killed in the line of duty on this date in 2021.

Jango was shot while attempting to apprehend a convicted felon following a pursuit of a stolen vehicle. A Belgian Malinois born in the Netherlands on November 15, 2015, he was partnered with Officer Brock Mueller in March 2017—forming a bond built on trust, loyalty, and service.

Officer Mueller shared, “Jango helped me become a better officer, husband, friend, and father.”

Throughout his service, Jango faithfully protected the Bakersfield community, specializing in suspect apprehension and explosive detection. His dedication, courage, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

K9 Jango is deeply missed and will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, good boy. 💙

Calling all St Bernie lovers!!

Okay…. Where are big dog lovers ???
We know we have some St. Bernie lovers out there to help us save this guy!!! Looking for a foster for this very gentle giant or the perfect home. He is a 2 year old, currently in-tact ( but won’t be for long) good dog, house trained, has been with a family with young children & has co-habituated with other dogs in household as well as a cat. Will playfully chase and interact with cat. Has shown no aggression toward the cat.We are trying to keep this guy out of the shelter !!! Not because they would put him to sleep but both of our local shelters are over crowded & the stress it would put on this dog that hasn’t ever been exposed to such a setting ! Let us know immediately if you can foster. Our kennel home could not accommodate size!
