# # # A Scary Surprise for My Sweet Boy ❤️🐾

Today’s vet visit gave us news I wasn’t expecting—my sweet Barkley was diagnosed with a heart murmur. 😣

He’s around 10 or 11 years old, and thankfully he hasn’t shown any obvious symptoms. No coughing, no unusual tiredness, and no changes in his normal routine. That somehow makes the diagnosis feel even more unexpected.

Our vet recommended an echocardiogram so we can understand what’s really going on. I know we need more answers before assuming the worst, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared. Barkley means the absolute world to me, and watching him go through a drop-off appointment is already making me anxious. 💔

For those of you who have been through heart murmurs or echocardiograms with an older Schnauzer, I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

How did your pup do? Did they need medication? And how are they doing now?

Right now, I could really use some hopeful stories, advice, and a little reassurance. ❤️🐶

# # # One Week, One Incredible Transformation 🐾❤️

Can you believe I adopted Bear just ONE week ago?

He spent about four months in rescue after being saved from a hoarding situation. He’s estimated to be around 8 years old and had been so badly neglected that he’s already completely toothless. 💔

The day I brought him home, he was terrified. He didn’t want to walk on the ground, and even getting into an elevator was too scary for him.

But look at him now… 🥹❤️

Just one week later, Bear is happy, confident, curious, and settling into his new life so beautifully.

It’s amazing what a little patience, safety, love, and a place to finally call home can do.

He may have had a difficult past, but his future is looking brighter every single day. 🐶✨

Welcome home, Bear. You deserve every bit of happiness. ❤️
