🐾 We’re Going Monthly! 🐾
Starting in April, The Cheeto Rescue will be hosting a FREE Pet Pantry on the first Saturday of every month 💛
Our pantry is currently hosted by Peace by the Beach Reiki and Crystals, LLC, and we are so incredibly thankful for their continued support in helping pets stay fed and stay at home.
✨ No registration required
✨ First come, first served
✨ Focused on supporting household pets
📢 We are currently looking for local businesses who would be willing to host a donation drive. If you’re a local business owner and would like to partner with us to support pets in our community, please send us a message — we would love to connect.

💛 A Huge Thank You 💛
I want to take a moment to say thank you to Peace by the Beach Reiki and Crystals, LLC for so kindly allowing me to use their space to host my first large community pet pantry. The turnout was amazing, and it was truly heartwarming to see so many families come together for their pets.
Being able to share food and supplies and see the community show up for one another is something I’ll always be grateful for. This event reminded me why community matters so much and how powerful it is when local businesses open their doors to help others.
I’m incredibly thankful for the support, the kindness, and the opportunity to be part of something so positive. Today was special, and I’m excited to continue finding ways to support our community and keep pets happy, healthy, and at home where they belong. 🐾🤍

I’m incredibly thankful for everyone who has donated and supported this pantry. Please be mindful when selecting food so we can help as many families as possible. While I truly appreciate those who feed strays, this pantry is focused on household pets at this time.
I’m sorry if we run out quickly, I personally purchase most of the food, with about 20% coming from donations. I’m doing my best and plan to hold pantries more frequently to help even more families.

❄️ Pantry Update – Rescheduled Date ❄️

I wanted to let everyone know that due to the potential incoming snowstorm and unsafe road conditions, we have made the decision to reschedule this weekend’s pet pantry.

The pantry will now be held on:
📅 Saturday, February 7th
🕚 Starting at 11:00 AM
📍 Peace by the Beach Reiki and Crystals, LLC
466 U.S. Hwy 70 W, Havelock, NC 28532

This decision was made together with Peace by the Beach Reiki and Crystals, LLC, as Havelock is not built for snow, and I would hate for anyone to risk getting into an accident or becoming stuck due to the weather.

I am truly so sorry for any inconvenience this reschedule may cause, but the safety of our community, supporters, and myself is the top priority.

Thank you so much for your understanding, patience, and continued support. Please stay safe and warm, and we look forward to seeing everyone on February 7th 🐾🤍

🐾 Reminder about our upcoming FREE Pet Pantry 🐾
Just a reminder about our upcoming pet pantry! I want to give a huge thank you to Peace by the Beach Reiki and Crystals, LLC for generously hosting and allowing us to use their space. We are so grateful for their support.
This pantry is 100% free, first come, first served, and we will remain open until supplies run out.
I also want to be transparent — I run this pantry myself, and about 90% of the food is purchased by me, with the remaining 10% coming from donations. I am doing my absolute best to help as many families as possible, so I kindly ask everyone to be mindful when selecting food. I truly appreciate your understanding if we run out quickly.
While I deeply respect those who care for strays, at this time our focus is on helping pets in households, so being mindful allows more families to receive support.

🎐 Summer Heat & Your Pets: What You Should Know

Hot weather can be dangerous for pets, even if they seem fine! ☀️ Here are a few quick tips to keep your furry friends safe during these hot days:

🐾 Never leave pets in parked cars — even with the windows cracked. Temps rise fast and it can be deadly in minutes.

💧 Make sure they have fresh water at all times, especially if they’re outside.

🌳 Walk early or late in the day — pavement can burn paws during peak sun hours.

🌬️ Watch for signs of heatstroke: drooling, heavy panting, vomiting, or disorientation. If you see any of these, call a vet ASAP.

A little extra care goes a long way in keeping your pets safe and cool this summer! 🧡🐶🐱

Welcome to The Cheeto Rescue! 🐾🧡

We’re so excited to share our journey with you! The Cheeto Rescue is a small but growing grassroots effort dedicated to helping animals in need — especially cats, dogs, and guinea pigs.

We're not an official nonprofit yet, but we're working hard to become one very soon. In the meantime, we’re still fully able to accept donations, host events, and run programs like our Cheeto Pet Pantry, which provides free food and supplies to pets and families in need.

🧡 Please note: Because we are not a 501(c)(3) yet, donations are not tax-deductible — but every contribution still goes directly toward helping animals and keeping them in loving homes.
