Molting season is HARD, y’all! 😹

These babies look like they’ve been through absolute war, but there’s also something so beautiful about this stage that I don’t think gets talked about enough. IMO 🥹💖

Take this little girl, for example. She’s lost just about all her feathers, but LOOK at the things you can see so clearly! Her perfect little comb with no horns, that super dark skin, her perfect little beak… all these little details that make you stop and appreciate the standard of perfection we’re working toward. 😻

Sometimes, when all those beautiful feathers are gone, you get a whole new appreciation for what’s underneath them. It’s like a little breath of fresh air being able to really see and evaluate all those wonderful traits without the fluff getting in the way! AND THAT MAKES ME SOOOOO HAPPY! 🥰✨🌻

So yes, they absolutely look a little rough around the edges right now, and we’re all ready for those pretty feathers to come back BUT there’s beauty even in the ugly stages too! 💯

I love this little ray of sunshine.

💖HELPING A CHICKEN FRIEND FIND SAFE HOMES FOR HER FLOCK💖

Sharing this post to help a fellow chicken friend who is facing the heartbreaking decision to rehome her entire flock. 💔

Sometimes life puts us in situations where we have to make incredibly difficult decisions, even when they break our hearts. After several coyote attacks, she’s putting the safety of her family, her dog, and her beloved birds first. ✨

She has beautiful birds looking for their next loving homes, including Paints, Satins, Naked Necks, Chocolate Paints, a Chocolate Mottled Frizzle Silkie rooster, and Mottled chicks. 🐓💕

She would especially love to find someone who can take several birds or, ideally, the entire Paint pen. 💖

She is open to reasonable offers and is hoping to find homes ASAP. Please keep in mind that these birds are not vaccinated, and she will share details about their recent external parasite treatment with potential buyers. ✨

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has other plans for us this weekend! 😅 Due to the terrible weather, our chicken event is being POSTPONED TO OCTOBER 25TH! 💖🌻

We want everyone to be able to enjoy the event safely, and our feathered babies deserve a beautiful day, too! 🐣💕
