RESCUE: We are working with our boots on the ground volunteer to secure the safety of these 4 beautiful souls, but we must raise the funds needed to purchase their freedom and cover their immediate care costs. We have 1 WEEK to raise the funds for their freedom. Feedlot prices, quarantine, transport and initial vet needs add up quickly and we need your support to ensure that their story doesn't end here.

If you are able to give, every dollar goes toward the safety and care of these horses. Your support means the difference between a last chance and a new beginning.

Help Us Make our Match!

Recently, we received a challenge from two of our donors to raise $10,000 by Friday, October 16th, 2026. If we achieve this goal, they will match that amount up to $10,000. This is a huge opportunity for LPR at a very critical time!

This money will specifically go to caring for the rescued animals at the ranch, including 16 horses, 7 donkeys and various other rescued animals. 2026 has been a very tough year of increasing costs in feed, medicine and veterinary care. We urgently need your help to continue our efforts here at LPR.

Every week, LPR uses their rescued animals to provide a sanctuary and programs to help military veterans and local elementary school children heal, learn and grow in confidence! Without your help, we cannot continue to provide that support.
Please consider making a donation today to help us meet our $10,000 goal!

As we near the end of the year, I want to share what's on our hearts at Laughing Pony.

We'll always show up for at-risk horses and donkeys who need us. That work doesn't stop. But right now, our most pressing need isn't a new rescue — it's making sure we can keep caring for the 16 horses and 7 donkeys who already call our sanctuary home.

These aren't just animals living out a quiet retirement. Partnering with they're working members of our community:
🐴 Every week, they show up for military veterans in equine-facilitated sessions — offering a kind of trust and presence that's hard to find anywhere else.
🐴 They work with elementary school kids, helping build literacy and confidence one visit at a time.

Every one of them arrived with a story of hardship. Now they spend their days turning that suffering into service — for veterans working through what they carry, for kids finding their voice, for anyone who needs a 1,200-pound reminder that healing is possible.

None of that happens without financial stability. Feed, farrier care, vet bills, shelter — the basics that let 23 animals keep doing this work don't pause for the season.

As you think about your year-end giving, we'd be grateful if you'd consider our sanctuary residents. Your support doesn't just keep them cared for — it keeps this work going for the people who need them most.

With gratitude from all of us at LPR.
