Meet Morpheus! He's a beautiful mixed breed with features that remind me of my first pup 🩵 I have the pleasure of being his neighbor, and Morph was my first San Diego client. When his mom is working long days I help out with administering his strictly timed medication and his midday potty break.
Due to his resistance to accepting his meds (smart boy figured out how to find them in treats and food), having earned his affection is HUGE. He no longer associates me just as the "oh no, not this again" person. I made the task bearable by sandwiching it between training games, and now he's more eager for the reward system than he is reluctant to take the meds!
Handsome boi!
Morph's "ugh... do we have to??" face before his meds.
Update: as of last week, he comes right to me and I don't get this pout beforehand anymore
Magnus! This sweet old man used to hide from me when I'd come by to care for Morph. I never followed or pushed him. Last week he meowed at me and asked for pets!
Boop!
Morph being a good boy and sitting at the corner, until I release him to cross the street. This was mastered by the end of our first walk. Such a good boy!
