Our shoe drive is going on through the end of October.
Pawsitive Teams is collecting new and gently worn shoes, boots, slippers and sneakers to support our programs through a fundraising partnership with Funds2Orgs.com.
Funds2Orgs.com will pick up the donated shoes and send them to microbusinesses in developing countries, where they can be resold to help support local livelihoods. Your donation helps the environment by keeping them out of the landfill, strengthens our organization, and supports the communities that receive the shoes.

Service dogs learn much more than specific tasks. They also learn how to calmly and confidently navigate the world alongside their future partners.

From stores and restaurants to workplaces, doctors' offices, and community activities, experiences along the way help prepare dogs like Sasha for life as a working service dog.

Thursday, September 17th, marks the San Diego Gives Day of Giving. This is a countywide celebration of the local impact of nonprofits. In the past, when Pawsitive Teams formally participated, responses were few if any. This year, because participating in this event requires payment, we have decided not to participate in the large group activity. But you will be seeing TV, radio, podcasts, print, and digital media marketing in the day or two leading up to San Diego Gives. And we hope you think of us!!

When you give to Pawsitive Teams, every dollar goes directly to supporting our programs helping San Diegans with special needs through our service, facility, and therapy dogs. We don’t sell your information or publish our donor lists. We are totally dependent on donations from people like you, and grants from small companies and philanthropic organizations.

So, whether you support us via a donation, encourage your friends and family to support us, share us on social media, or volunteer your time, every action you take allows us to continue our work. For that support, we are forever grateful.

September is National Service Dog Month!
For the rest of the month, we’re taking you behind the scenes at Pawsitive Teams to celebrate the incredible dogs, volunteers, trainers, and partners who make our mission possible.
Training a service dog takes time, patience, teamwork, consistency—and a whole lot of love. Follow along as we introduce you to some of our dogs and share what goes into creating a successful service dog partnership.
