Update on mating… we showed up for second round and the next time we see vet for Gamera should be to confirm pregnancy. Here’s how it went. The photo of Gigan is after Gamera was taken to the back room for prep. The texts are between me (blue) and hubby.

SOMEBODY went to the vet yesterday for progesterone testing (to see if she’s ready for mating). She was at 20, so they did the deed 😂. Apologies if this is crass… but … vet came back after collecting semen for mating and said “Gigan really, really loves his job and was very … um … eager to perform. So much so that he irritated himself from the friction”. She then said “just keep an eye on it”. As we drove home I was like, how am I supposed to that? 🤣

I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve lost count of the number of X-rays I’ve paid for over the years just make sure pups are safe. I can attest that these bulldog babies are super fast if they want to ingest something like a shark or alligator. But, so far, never anything like this!!!
