We would like to thank everyone who has made donations to Animal Services of Castroville. At this time we humbly request these couple of oddball items.

The first oddball item we can use are toddler Playgyms like the ones pictured. They give great enrichment for the dogs during playtime, are easily sanitized, and help us take better adoption photos!

The second are any baby playpens which help us get smaller puppies to adoption events!

If you no longer have use for these items, we would greatly appreciate them for use in helping us save lives. Please contact us at 830-931-5013. Thank you!

Nova came from a cruelty case and was removed from a neglectful situation. When she first arrived, she had a case of non-contagious mange and a pretty nasty ear infection, but after months of love, patience and care from our staff and her foster family, she has completely turned things around. She’s definitely a copilot for going on car ride adventures.

Nova has integrated beautifully with her foster pack and is crate trained, potty trained, knows her basic commands, walks nicely on a leash and rides wonderfully in the car. And if there’s an adventure involved, Nova is READY! She absolutely loves going to the river and is a total water dog. 🌊🐶

She is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. All she needs now is the one thing she’s been waiting for…
Her forever family.

If you are looking for a new best friend Nova certainly fits the bill. Please contact Animal Services of Castroville at 830-931-5013 and ask about Adopting Nova. Thank you!

Now with cooler weather coming back in, we are starting our Doggie Day at the Park events back up!

Doggie Day at the Park can take place every Friday from 10am through 12pm as long as there are walkers letting us know they’ll be coming, and we are usually located by the large Pavilion. If you are interested in coming to the Castroville Regional Park to walk one of our Adoptables for a couple of hours please contact Animal Services of Castroville at 830-931-5013.

These events allow our Adoptables to get out of the shelter, get some enrichment, stretch their legs, and hopefully get seen by their next future family.
