Does your dog bark, lunge, or completely “lose it” when they see another dog or person on leash? Maybe it’s bicycles or cars that does it for them. The Reactive Rover program is for you!

Having a reactive dog is challenging, and I get it. During this 6 lesson, rewards-based, one on one training program, you will learn how to help your dog better cope with their environment and deal with those unexpected surprises along the way. You will both learn new strategies and "reactions" to their triggers.

This is such an important reminder! Walks can be a great enrichment tool and aren’t just about wearing your dog out physically. A 15 minute walk getting to sniff and explore can do so much more than you think and your dog will love it!

I have a mixture of pups in my house. My boy loves to move and exert himself physically but also enjoys his environment. He’s allowed to do that. One of my girls would never pick her nose up off the ground if it was up to her, and she’s allowed to do that. We compromise occasionally, but the walk is for them.

Find enjoyment in your walks with them again! If you want to run and your dog wants to sniff, either make time for both on the same walk or make time for two separate things, your exercise and their enrichment. Have fun out there!

I love this quote from Patricia B McConnell. One of my passions is helping owners help their terrified and anxious pups feel more comfortable in their own skin and managing not only the dog but expectations. When we realize exactly this, that our scared pup may never be a social butterfly, we can then enrich their environment based on who they are, not what society wants them to be. It’s 100% perfectly ok if your pup never wants to say hi to a stranger! We can help them navigate their surroundings and modify it to what they need to feel and be safe💕
