Meet Fishstick 🐟🤎 The name alone already tells you he’s going to be a character. 😂

This sweet little guy is playful, happy, and has that curious “what are we doing next?” personality that makes puppyhood so much fun. He’s just as content being held and loved on as he is getting down to investigate everything around him.

And underneath all that adorable fluff, there’s a lot of thought that goes into the pairing that created him. We look at so much more than appearance when planning our litters, from temperament and structure to genetics and the qualities we hope to carry forward.

But Fishstick seems completely unconcerned with all of that.

He’s just here to be cute, play, and make sure everyone remembers his name. 🤎😂

He plays like a wild man for twenty minutes, then the second you pick him up he melts right into your arms. 🐾

Meet Lenny, our English cream Mini Golden Retriever. We expect him to land around 30 to 35 pounds full grown, so he’s a lap dog who can still keep up on a hike.

Right now he’s doing the work: socialization with people and his siblings, crate time, sleeping through the night, and shaping calm greetings instead of jumping up. By the time he goes home, the hard parts are already started.

Apparently being a girl in Meadow & Rodeo’s litter means you have important decisions to make… like choosing the perfect dress. 😂🎀

Chai 💜 (Purple Collar) understood the assignment and was ready for her little fashion moment.

Latte 💛 (Yellow Collar), on the other hand, had other priorities… mainly taking a nap. 😴😂

Two sisters, two completely different moods, and somehow both equally adorable.

We’re still not over these tiny girls all dressed up. 🤍

There’s something so satisfying about watching a space completely transform. 😍

Our Pup-Grass project is coming together, and we’re finally getting to see all of that prep work turn into a space made for the dogs and puppies who use it every day.

We wanted something that would look great, hold up to real kennel life, and give the dogs a comfortable place to run, play, and just be dogs.

Seeing the turf from Pup-Grass finally going down made all the work leading up to this feel worth it.

And of course, the puppies wasted absolutely no time giving it their official inspection. 😂

Honestly, puppy life looks pretty good from here.

Someone carries you when you’re tired, makes sure you’re comfortable, keeps you fed, gives you all the attention you could possibly want… and your only real job is to be ridiculously cute.

And somehow, they still act like they’re the ones running the house. 🤍

Choosing to bring home a dog can feel like a huge decision. You wonder if the timing is right, how life will change, and whether you’re ready for everything that comes with it.

And then one day, they’re simply part of the family.

They’re there for the ordinary mornings, the car rides, the walks, the couch naps, the family pictures, and all the little routines you never knew would mean so much.

Seeing photos of our past Big Hearted Breeders families is such a sweet reminder that one decision can turn into years of companionship, memories, and a deeply loved member of the family.

It’s amazing how much can begin with one little “yes.” 🤍

Your dog is not being dramatic. She is being polite.

Most of what dogs say happens in the quiet moments before anything goes wrong. A lick of the nose. A shake when the coat is dry. Eyes that slide sideways while the head stays perfectly still.

Every one of these is a request for a little more room, and every one of them comes long before a growl. The dogs who “bite with no warning” almost always gave five warnings. They just gave them in a language nobody was reading.

Learn these five and your dog will never have to raise her voice.

Save this one for the next time your pup goes quiet at the vet, and send it to someone whose dog is still teaching them 🐾

Somewhere in this little group might be the puppy who grows up beside you. 🐶🤎

The one who learns the sound of your car pulling into the driveway. The one waiting at your feet while you make breakfast, following you from room to room, curling up beside you at the end of a long day, and somehow becoming part of all the ordinary moments you never realized would mean so much.

Right now they’re still tiny, learning about the world one new sound, smell, cuddle, and adventure at a time. But it’s sweet to imagine the dogs they’ll become and all the memories that will eventually belong to the families who love them.

Family walks. Car rides. Lazy weekends. Holidays. Adventures. A warm little body curled up next to you on the couch. And probably a shadow following you to the bathroom too. 😂

That’s the special thing about bringing a puppy into your life. You choose them when they’re little, but before long, it’s hard to remember what home felt like without them.

From 1 week old to 14 weeks old… look at Arthur and Lenny now. 🥹💛

These two boys from Amber & Snickerdoodle’s litter have changed so much, but somehow they still have those same sweet little faces.

Now at 14 weeks, Arthur and Lenny are ready for their next chapter and to bring all that Mini Golden Retriever sweetness home with them. 🐾

Socialization can look a lot like a simple day out 💜🐾

Crown joined Heather for a hair appointment, and while it may seem like just a cute little salon adventure, experiences like this are such an important part of helping puppies grow into confident, well-adjusted dogs.

New people, unfamiliar places, blow dryers, conversations, doors opening and closing… Crown got to take it all in from the safety of Heather’s lap. And she handled every new sound and experience like a little pro. 🥹

We love giving our puppies opportunities to experience the real world in positive, gentle ways. It helps them learn that new environments don’t have to be scary, especially when they have someone they trust nearby.

And of course, Crown had to look adorable doing it with her little purple bow… even if she decided it wasn’t staying in for long. 😂💜
