That’s just Chloe being Chloe. This sweet girl is as quiet as they come. She rarely barks, prefers to peacefully follow her people around the house, and is happiest curled up beside you for a cozy nap. Chloe’s journey began in a New Mexico high-kill shelter, where she found herself on the euthanasia list through no fault of her own. Thankfully, she was given a second chance, and now she’s looking for the forever family she’s always deserved.

She’s the definition of a couch potato, always ready to relax by your side but just as happy to quietly shadow you from room to room because being near her favorite people is her favorite place to be.

Like all rescue dogs, Chloe will need patience, love, and time to settle into a new home. Once she feels safe, she’ll reward you with quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and plenty of cuddles. Her gentle nature makes every bit of that patience worthwhile.

🐶 The puppies have officially chosen their favorite babysitter… and it’s Bohdi. 🥹

We can’t figure out why this sweet boy is still waiting for a family.

At just 5 months old, Bohdi is the goofiest, happiest pup and absolutely ADORES puppies. Give him a group of little ones to wrestle with, cuddle, and patiently entertain, and he’s in heaven. ❤️

He’s also potty trained, uses a doggy door, walks great on a leash, loves other dogs, and is the biggest cuddle bug you’ll ever meet.

Toby has already been through more than any puppy should. 💔

This sweet 8-month-old Terrier mix was rescued from a high-kill shelter in New Mexico. Despite everything he's been through, Toby is incredibly affectionate and just wants someone to love him.

Now that he's safe, he needs a foster or foster-to-adopt home where he can finally decompress, gain some healthy weight, and learn what it feels like to be cherished. A warm bed, full belly, and kind heart are all he's asking for.

Toby does great with other dogs, is good with cats, and has such a gentle, loving personality. We know once he feels safe, he's going to blossom into an amazing companion.

16 more dogs arrived safely today from New Mexico high kill shelter, bringing us to more than 63 dogs given a second chance in just the past couple weeks that Tail Wags Rescue has saved from euthanasia list, shelter kennels, and into loving foster homes until their adoption!

Just days ago, many of these dogs were sitting in overcrowded shelters where time was running out. Today, they're curled up on couches, exploring backyards, meeting kind people, and discovering what it feels like to be safe.

Every transport is made possible by an incredible team of people—volunteer drivers who spend 20+ hours on the road, fosters who open their homes to dogs they've never met, adopters who choose rescue, and the coordinators, donors, and volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes to turn "at risk" into "loved."

Over the next few days, these dogs will decompress, learn that people can be trusted, and get ready to meet the families who have been waiting for them all along.

To everyone who made this transport possible: thank you. Because of you, 16 more dogs are safe today, more than 63 dogs have or will start their new chapters in life and countless more lives will be saved because every foster home that opens their heart and creates room for another dog in need.
