Lazy J Ranch is Seeking a Qualified Licensed Mental Health Professional or Agency to Support Onsite Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Referrals

Lazy J Ranch in Salisbury, MA has the ranch setting, Equine Specialist, experienced herd, and program structure in place to support onsite Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
As interest and referrals for Equine Assisted Psychotherapy continue to grow, we are pursuing a collaboration with a qualified independent licensed mental health professional or licensed mental health agency to provide the clinical/mental health component of these services onsite at Lazy J Ranch.

This collaborative model would allow the licensed therapist or agency to lead the therapeutic process, while Lazy J Ranch provides the Equine Specialist, equine setting, horses, and facility to support safe, ethical, and meaningful horse-human interaction.

Lazy J Ranch has a strong foundation in equine-assisted learning, trauma-informed programming, youth development, senior programming, veteran support, caregiver support, and community-based services.

Our goal is to develop a clear, professional, and ethical collaboration to support individuals, families, youth, veterans, first responders, caregivers, and groups through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Qualified licensed mental health professionals or licensed mental health agencies interested in collaborating to support onsite equine-assisted psychotherapy referrals are encouraged to contact Lazy J Ranch.

We are opening up 4 free participant spots for adults who are curious about our EAL programs at Lazy J Ranch. This is a hands-on, non-riding opportunity to spend time with horses, try EAL-style activities, and see how horses can help build life skills by supporting connection, confidence, communication, and personal growth.

This is perfect for anyone who is:

What an amazing weekend we had at Lazy J Ranch LLC, the home of Horses Healing Hearts. ❤️🐴

Horses Healing Hearts hosted Coffee Time with Heroes, and we would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Patriot Riders Chapter 1 Massachusetts for joining us. We loved welcoming you to the ranch and giving you the opportunity to see what Lazy J Ranch and Horses Healing Hearts look and feel like, meet the herd, and spend time with some of our team members.

As Coffee Time with Heroes was taking place, participants from It Takes A Herd Foundation Inc, Cohort 2 began arriving for their first session, so they joined in on some coffee and donuts before the program got underway. Cohort 2, hosted here at Lazy J Ranch with Melena and Blue, was supported by our incredible Equine Specialists Natalie L Bishop, Michayla Kent, Jessica Hamilton, and Marianne Cyr.

The moments captured from this session say so much about the heart of the program — gentle introductions, quiet connections, shared memories, smiles, and the incredible calm that horses bring. Watching participants connect with the herd in their own way was truly beautiful.

Shortly after, our Pony Pal lessons began, and what wonderful lessons our littles had! The smiles say it all. It was a day full of confidence, learning, joy, and connection from our youngest riders to our senior participants.

To end the day, Horses Healing Hearts held our live Hooves & Hope Lottery Raffle drawing, where our very own Joe LeBlanc and lesson student Ava drew the winning number.

We are so grateful for everyone who joined us, supported us, volunteered, and continues to believe in the mission of Horses Healing Hearts. Weekends like this remind us exactly why we do what we do. A Big Thank you to our Team and Volunteers❤️

Promoting our Veterans Breakfast June 6th. 9-10:30am !

Anna is a film student at Lesley University and has a love for horses ! So she has been taking riding lessons , working at the Ranch and is staying there all summer ! Anna is always a pleasure to have around and work with !
