✨ Sometimes good horse care looks like this.

While most of our pastures at Renaissance are equipped with automatic waterers, we also have several traditional water troughs—and they get some serious attention! 💦🐴

Our troughs are emptied, power washed, scrubbed, and refilled with fresh water to keep them clean for the horses who use them.

It may not be the most glamorous barn job, but the little things matter when you're caring for horses every day. 💙

❄️ Winter Boarding Openings at Renaissance Equestrian Center ❄️

Looking for a place where you and your horse can keep training comfortably through the Michigan winter?

We currently have a limited number of Grand Prix stalls available at Renaissance Equestrian Center in Saline.

One of the biggest advantages of winter at Renaissance is our heated indoor arena, giving riders the ability to continue schooling and training even when the temperatures drop outside.

Our Grand Prix boarding includes:

🐴 Spacious 14' x 14' stalls
🌿 Daily turnout
🌾 Hay & grain fed twice daily
🧹 Daily stall cleaning
🔐 Secured tack room
🔥 Access to our heated indoor arena
☀️ Outdoor arena access
🌲 On-site riding trails

Whether you're looking to stay in consistent training all winter or simply want a comfortable, professionally managed home for your horse, we'd love to show you around.

✨ Feature Friday: Gran Patron “Al” ✨

This week we’re featuring Al, a 9-year-old Thoroughbred owned by Anne Silva! Anne and Al have been a team since the summer of 2022, and they’ve packed plenty of adventures into their time together. 🐴❤️

Al is an eventer who has competed at Beginner Novice and schooled Novice, but for Anne, the biggest goal isn’t a particular level or ribbon—it’s simply to keep having more adventures together.

Anne describes Al as honest, safe, fun, and adaptable, with the personality of a big orange cat and the biggest heart. 😂 He loves jumping, trails, beaches, and trying new things.

And this horse has definitely tried some things! Al has jumped waves in Lake Michigan, tried his hoof at fox hunting, and traded Florida sunshine for snowy Michigan rides. ❄️🌊

🍉 Fun fact: Al LOVES watermelon and popsicles!

From horse shows and trails to days at the beach, Al has already given Anne countless memories that she’ll always cherish—and we’re excited to see where their next adventure takes them.

We’re so happy to have Anne and Al as part of the Renaissance family! 💙

Three geldings. Multiple hay nets available. And yet somehow… all three need to eat out of the exact same one.

Why use your own when you can all squish together? 🤷‍♀️

🌟 Feature Friday: Meet Jordan! 🌟

This week’s Feature Friday is a little different! Instead of introducing you to one of our horses or boarders, we’re highlighting someone who plays a huge role in keeping Renaissance running every day.

Jordan Marsh has been part of the Renaissance team for three years and currently serves as our Assistant Manager. From feeding and caring for the horses to helping with the countless jobs that come with running an equestrian facility, Jordan is always willing to step in wherever he’s needed.

Anyone who spends time at Renaissance knows just how hard Jordan works. His dedication to the horses, reliability, and willingness to tackle just about anything make him an incredibly important part of our team—and we’re very lucky to have him!

🐴 Fun fact: Jordan is involved in FFA and has earned his Equine Management & Evaluation certification, demonstrating his knowledge of equine industry management, breed identification, anatomy and physiology, equine diseases, and horse evaluation.

The work that goes into caring for a barn full of horses doesn’t stop, and so much of it happens behind the scenes. Today we’re giving some well-deserved recognition to someone who helps make it all happen.

Winter riding doesn’t have to mean taking the season off. ❄️🐴

At Renaissance, our heated indoor arena and solarium help keep horses comfortable and training all winter long.

The solarium uses gentle infrared heat and airflow to help horses dry off more quickly after riding or bathing while also encouraging muscle relaxation and keeping them warm before heading back outside.

If you’re looking for a boarding facility where you can keep riding through the Michigan winter, we’d love to welcome you!

At Renaissance Equestrian Center, we're committed to helping both horses and riders stay comfortable and keep progressing all year long.

One of our favorite winter amenities is our solarium—a great way to help horses dry more quickly after riding, support muscle relaxation, and warm up on those cold Michigan days. The combination of infrared heat and airflow helps evaporate moisture from the coat while providing gentle warmth, making it especially beneficial after winter rides or baths.

Combined with our heated indoor arena, you can continue riding and training throughout the winter, no matter what the weather is doing outside.

This past weekend, Renaissance boarder Sophie earned her US Pony Club H-B Certification! 🐴👏

The H-B certification is a major milestone that recognizes advanced horsemanship and horse management skills. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and passion to achieve, and we're so proud of Sophie for reaching this goal!
