they never truly leave us.

Today, we pause to remember the beloved pets who have shared our lives, comforted us through difficult days, made us laugh, and taught us a love that words can never quite describe. ❤️

At **Peaceful Waters Veterinary Care**, we are honored to walk beside families during one of the hardest goodbyes they will ever face. But long after that goodbye, the love remains.

**Today is about remembering that love.**
The silly moments. The quiet moments.
The adventures. The companionship.
The countless little things that made them *ours.*

**We invite you to share their memory with us.**

And if you would like to honor your pet in person, the **Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine** will be hosting a **Pet Memorial Event** on **Saturday, September 19th from 4–6 PM**. All pet families are welcome, regardless of where their pet received care.

Because **they may be gone from our arms, but they are never gone from our hearts.**

💙 **Honoring the Love That Never Leaves Us** 💙

One of the things I have hoped to offer through **Peaceful Waters Veterinary Care** is a memorial gathering for the pets we have loved and lost.

I believe deeply in the sacred bond between people and their animals. The memories, the laughter, the quiet moments, the companionship, and even the heartbreak of saying goodbye are all part of a love that deserves to be honored.

While I have not yet been able to facilitate a memorial service of my own, I am incredibly grateful that an opportunity to gather, remember, and support one another is being offered nearby and I was invited to share with those families I have helped this journey, or anyone that has lost a beloved pet that wants to join us.

💙 **Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine** is hosting a **Pet Memorial Event** on:

📅 **September 19, 2026**
🕓 **4:00–6:00 PM**

This gathering is open to **everyone who has experienced the loss of a beloved pet**, regardless of whether your pet was a patient at the Veterinary College or Peaceful Waters Veterinary Care.

There will be light refreshments, special activities, opportunities to honor and remember our pets, and most importantly, a space to be surrounded by others who understand the depth of that loss.

**RSVP is requested** so they can plan appropriately for refreshments and activities.

If you have lost a beloved companion, I hope you will consider joining this beautiful opportunity to pause, remember, and honor the lives that meant so much to us.

The 2nd tribute for today is for beloved Sammie "Sam" who had a heart as big as the sky and such a fighter till the end. He too is missed beyond measure. Rest easy sweet boy.

Memorial Monday today pays tribute to such a beautiful Soul that stood out and was an amazing girl! Mila will be deeply missed by so many! Her family shared some heartfelt words, while words can never be enough to express just what she meant to them.
