Lani is a proud military veteran, lifelong dog lover, and pet parent to an Aussiedoodle! With years of experience caring for dogs and fostering both dogs and cats, she's comfortable with pets of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels.

Lani brings a calm, compassionate, and attentive approach to pet care. She understands that every pet is unique and takes the time to match their personality and routine, whether that means a relaxing walk, energetic playtime, or plenty of cuddles!

Safety and communication are top priorities for Lani. Like all of our sitters, she's certified in Pet First Aid & CPR and is committed to keeping pets safe, happy, and comfortable while providing their families with thoughtful updates and photos.

Lani services primarily Tampa, with occasional availability for overnight sitting in the greater Tampa Bay Area.

With a background in veterinary care and a passion for animals of all kinds, Rayne brings both professional knowledge and hands-on experience to the Loyal Companion team🐾

Rayne is a Certified Veterinary Assistant with more than four years of experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, exotics, and wildlife. Her background includes working in a veterinary hospital and boarding facility, as well as experience with wildlife rehabilitation.

She is also comfortable caring for large, reactive and special needs pets, giving her experience working with animals who may require a little extra patience, understanding, or specialized care. And her love for animals definitely extends beyond work... Rayne even has a (rescue) pet possum!🥹

With a lifelong love for cats, Katarina, or (appropriately) Kat for short, brings a gentle and patient approach to caring for the pets entrusted to her💕

Kat has extensive experience with cats, including caring for senior and sick cats through their golden years. She understands the extra patience, attention, and compassion that older pets may need. She’s also a dog lover who enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of affection with her canine clients! 🐶🐱

Kat is Red Cross Pet First Aid & CPR certified, like all of our team members, and is committed to giving every pet the same thoughtful care she would want for her own.

Originally from New York, Kat enjoys music festivals, cooking, meditation, wellness, and spending time with friends. Kat is currently in school to be an EMT!

From veterinary care and animal shelters to zoos and aquariums, Whitney has built an impressive background caring for animals of all kinds 🙀

As a former zookeeper, Whitney worked with education animals, barnyard animals, red wolves, and alongside the animal hospital. She also has years of pet sitting and fostering experience and is comfortable caring for large breeds and reactive dogs. Her extensive hands-on experience allows her to confidently care for pets with a variety of personalities, backgrounds, and needs.

When she’s not caring for animals, Whitney enjoys gardening, the beach, sports, reading, and theme parks. Her favorite animals are wolves on land and dolphins in the water, and she’s a proud Hufflepuff. 💛

Say hello to Cindy, one of our wonderful Loyal Companion pet sitters🐾

Cindy has been an animal lover since childhood and brings years of hands-on experience caring for and exercising dogs, along with personal dog training experience and volunteer work with animals.

With a degree in Social Work/Human Services and a career dedicated to helping others, Cindy brings patience, compassion, and attentiveness to every pet she cares for. She loves getting to know each pet’s individual personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

Outside of pet care, Cindy has her own business focused on wellness, and loves weightlifting, running, biking, Muay Thai, and spending time outdoors. She’s also a wife and mom of two!

🐕 Cindy is currently available for dog walking in St. Petersburg! If your pup could use some extra exercise and companionship during the week, we’d love to have Cindy be part of their routine.

Loyal Companion Pet Services is a licensed, insured, and bonded in-home pet care company serving the Tampa Bay area. We’re growing our team and are specifically seeking experienced pet sitters who are confident caring for large, strong, reactive, anxious, medically needy, and behaviorally complex pets.
This is not an entry-level pet care position. We’re looking for people with demonstrated hands-on experience who can remain calm, confident, and safety-conscious when working with pets who require a little more skill, patience, or management than the average household pet.

🐕 We’re Especially Looking for Experience With:
- Reactive and behaviorally complex dogs
- Large and physically strong dogs
- Bully breeds and other powerful breeds
- Fearful, anxious, or slow-to-warm pets
- Leash reactivity and trigger management
- Reading canine body language and recognizing signs of stress or escalation
- Pets with complex medical needs and medication routines
- Following detailed behavioral, safety, and care protocols

Relevant experience may come from professional pet sitting, veterinary medicine, dog training, animal behavior, rescue/shelter work, kennels/daycare, or other professional hands-on animal care.

💰 Compensation
Sitters receive 80% of the client service rate, with pay varying based on the service and level of care required.
Typical sitter pay includes:
- 30-minute drop-ins/walks: $24–$32+ per visit
- 60-minute visits: $44+ per visit
- Overnight + Daytime Care: typically $108–$132+ per night
- Constant-care bookings: higher rates based on the level of care required
- Behaviorally complex cases: additional compensation for bookings requiring advanced handling, behavioral management, or a higher level of sitter expertise

- All care takes place in our clients’ homes; we do not offer boarding. Depending on your availability and preferences, bookings may include overnight stays, daytime care, drop-in visits, and dog walks.
- Our sitters have flexible schedules and can choose opportunities based on their availability, location, experience, and comfort level. However, because overnight care is an important part of our business, applicants must have some availability for overnight stays.
- You will never be expected to accept a pet or booking you do not feel qualified or comfortable handling. More complex cases are thoughtfully matched based on the pet’s needs and the sitter’s experience.
- We require Pet First Aid & CPR certification; can be completed upon hiring.

🐾 What We’re Looking For
- We’re looking for someone who is dependable, communicative, observant, and confident while also knowing when to slow down or give an animal space. Safety and good judgment are more important to us than simply being willing to take on a difficult case.
- Applicants must have reliable transportation, be comfortable staying overnight in clients’ homes, communicate consistently, follow detailed care instructions, and be willing to participate in meet & greets and trial visits when appropriate.
