Pretty in pink. 💗🐾
Pup Mobile paid a sunrise visit to the Pink Palace on St. Pete Beach this morning. The Don CeSar is one of the most iconic views on the Gulf Coast, and our van didn't mind posing for it one bit! 🌅🚐

Parked outside the Dalí this morning. 🎨🚐

Salvador Dalí gave us melting clocks, floating eyes, and a glass bubble bursting out of a building… but somehow the most surreal thing in St. Pete is this:

The Tampa Bay area has 17+ amazing museums, and your dog can't go into a single one of them. 🐶🚫

So visitors end up choosing between seeing the art and leaving their best friend alone in a hotel room. That's a lot of missed masterpieces. 🖼️

She's been disqualified from every match she's played, but she maintains she's undefeated. 🏆

Why Pup Mobile? 🐾
Pup Mobile came out of three moments that taught us something.
1. The tournament. At a pickleball tournament, Mary and I paid a small fortune to have our Rosie watched at a hotel. We kept thinking there had to be a better way.
2. Beach Drive. We'd walk Rosie through downtown St. Pete, down the pier, past the park and back along Beach Drive. By the end we wanted to sit down for a drink, but it was too hot for her. She didn't want water or anything off the dog menu. She needed a cool place to rest, and we needed a minute too.
3. Our neighbor. Mary Jo, our elderly neighbor, wasn't feeling well and didn't want to drive her dog to her regular groomer. She didn't want to wait on a stranger to come to her, either. Uber and Lyft won't take a pet unless the owner rides along. I told her, "Somebody needs to be the Uber for pets."
So we built it. Pup Mobile is a climate-controlled, solar/shore-powered van (no generator noise or fumes) that cares for your dog on-site and gets pets where they need to go. We're a small local business, and yes, we're for-profit. But we started this out of love for Rosie, our neighbors and this community. You shouldn't have to choose between your pet and your life. ❤️

🌅🐾 Caddy's on Sunset Beach dog lovers, we need your opinion!
Caddy's is one of our favorite spots. Your pup is welcome on the patio, but Treasure Island doesn't allow dogs on most of the beach. 🏖️🚫🐕
So the free lounge chairs, umbrellas, cabanas, and that famous sunset are off-limits once your dog is with you. Someone usually ends up stuck at the table or heading home early.
That's where Pup Mobile comes in. 🚐 We'd care for your dog right there, so the whole crew can hit the sand, grab a cabana, and stay for the sunset. 🌴

🐾 Rolling past a Treasure Island legend tonight!
Fun fact: when the Thunderbird opened in 1957, its giant neon sign held 1,460 separate lights. And the original owners, Tom and Hazel King, actually lived in a skinny little room inside the sign tower. Talk about a room with a view! 😄
Most of us don't live in a neon tower, but we all need someone we trust when life gets busy. That's where Pup Mobile comes in: pet transport, mobile kennels and event pet care all across Pinellas.

✈️🐾 Where History Took Off!
Today the Pup Mobile is parked at the St. Pete Pier, right next to one of the coolest landmarks in Tampa Bay: the World's First Airline Monument at Benoist Centennial Plaza (pronounced "Ben-WAH"!).
On January 1, 1914, pilot Tony Jannus lifted off from this spot in a Benoist Airboat and flew across Tampa Bay. That was the inaugural flight of the St. Petersburg–Tampa Airboat Line, the world's first scheduled commercial airline. 🌎
A few fun facts:
🛩️ More than 3,000 people came out to watch the first takeoff
💵 Former St. Pete mayor Abe Pheil paid $400 at a charity auction to be the very first passenger
⏱️ The flight to Tampa took about 23 minutes
🎟️ Regular one-way tickets cost just $5
📍 The 45-foot-wingspan sculpture sits on the exact spot where the original hangar stood
