When I first started navigating Willie’s reactivity, everything felt completely overwhelming. I spent so much time trying to figure out what activities we could actually enjoy together. Things that wouldn’t trigger stress or anxiety for him, or leave me feeling constantly on edge.

And then we found the water. 🌊

From the very first time we stepped onto a paddleboard, Willie was a absolute natural. Something about being out on the ocean just brings out this deep sense of calm in him. Surrounded by open space and gentle waves, all the hyper-vigilance melts away, and we can just breathe and be together in the quiet.

The water officially became our happy place. A sanctuary where we could escape the noise, build our bond, and just enjoy life side by side. 🧘‍♀️🐕

Finding that one safe, joyful outlet with your dog can completely shift your journey together. It reminds you that even in the midst of behavior struggles, there is always room for peace and pure happiness.
