As I sit here in the Will Rogers Coliseum at the most prestigious aged even in our industry I'm in awe. 5 years ago we had never been to an out of state show except one time with our personally owned horse Gus. We hadnt taken client horses or had horses we had the confidence to hold their own on a national level. Mind you, we got to build relationships with a lot of great people and cool horses over all the years.

4 years ago was our first ARHA World Show, 3 Years ago our first AQHA VRH World, and last year our first NRCHA Snaffle Bit. We've learned so much over these years about traveling entering, ordering stall mats, horse motels, not trusting Google Maps, I could go on. Each year Blake has become more polished as a showman and more finessed as a trainer. Each year we are more impressed with our three year olds. And the only way any of this is possible is the Lord. We can sure make a mess of things but Hes always there to dust us off and set us back on course. He's opened attic doors to take us to the next level when every other door had seemed to slam shut. He placed horses and people in our lives to teach us, sharpen us and encourage us, and we are grateful.

So as we take on the 2026 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity, win, lose or draw we are just thankful to be here doing what we love.

Watch our Journey on Livestream.

For many, their first NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® presented by Metallic Cat is the moment they’re hooked. Each year, hundreds of 3-year-old horses and thousands of spectators from across the United States, Canada, and abroad gather to witness the raw talent, intensity and tradition that define re...

Cy wanted to learn how to go down the fence and circle. So Blake did this quick tutorial using himself as the cow for positioning down the fence and to circle for the NRCHA classes.

Team BCPH had a great weekend at the August Cow Town Classic. The show was full of great competitors and all the placings truly had to be earned. Blake had the JR horses ready to step up and get some great cow runs done. The Amateurs all met personal best scores and continue to improve and challenge themselves. We couldn't be prouder of our team! A HUGE thank you to Emily and Grace for all their behind the scenes help (and Banjo for being the top aisle lookout 🐶)! It takes a team of people to get this done and we think ours is pretty top notch!

5️⃣ AQHA Limited Amateur All Around

Malichi more than held his own at a very competitive show full of firsts. This young stud has proven he can dominate a cow with a 71 in the cutting and a 73 in the cow work and is coming on strong for his first time doing the pattern classes. Not many 4 yo studs can win an All Around Title the first time entering and then carry an Amateur to a top 5 finish. Malichi is becoming the 4 yo wonder horse. 🦄

Pig-pig does what he does best and showed off his confidence and athleticism on a cow. He carried another new rider to a personal best run in an event the Pig has never entered with the High School Rodeo Cow Horse. He gave Bailee the prettiest lead changes and took care of her on a fast cow. He carried Blake to a strong 4th in a large class of cutters. This horse truly has the heart of a lion.

This was Journey's first time entering the All Around as well, and she SHOWED UP. We couldn't be more impressed with how she handled this weekend. She placed SECOND in a huge class of cutters and handled a wild cow in the cow work to stay with the big boys. Then this pretty filly went on to handle the trail course like she had actually practiced. We couldn't be prouder of her and can't wait to watch her continue to improve.

A name we haven't seen in quite some time, but boy did he prove he is worth his weight in gold. When Cy realized she needed a different horse to show patterns Sunday AM - Nanny, Papa and Woodrow to the rescue! Woodrow got fed breakfast at the ranch and then came to the show. Cy showed tremendous courage and horsemanship piloting a new horse through the pattern classes. This team is going to be a team to keep an eye on going forward!
