𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞!

We want to thank everyone who took the time to respond to our recent post about possibly adding educational presentations and demonstrations to Scott Smith’s All Animal Expo.

There were a lot of great ideas, suggestions, and even several people who volunteered to put on presentations. The amount of feedback was definitely enough for us to take the next step and start looking more seriously at how we can make this work logistically.

There are a couple of things we want to clarify as we move forward.

At this point, changing buildings or venues at the fairgrounds is not an option. We have already signed contracts for our current building and show dates through 2027.

We also want to emphasize that this would be something added to the existing expo, not a separate event.

Most importantly, we need to find a way to do this without disrupting our vendors. Our vendors are amazing and are always willing to help, but at the end of the day, the majority of them are running businesses and are there to make sales. We do not want anyone to feel obligated to participate, and we do not want presentations interfering with their normal business at the show.

That said, we are going to keep working on the idea and see what we can come up with.

For everyone who volunteered to help or put on a presentation, please 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝟲𝟯𝟬-𝟱𝟯𝟯-𝟬𝟭𝟴𝟭 with a brief description of what you would be interested in presenting. He will be compiling a list, and if we can get the logistics worked out, we will reach out when the time comes.

𝗛𝗲𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲!

We have been tossing around the idea of adding some 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to future Scott Smith’s All Animal Expos, and before we move too far forward with it, we would really like to hear from both our vendors and visitors.

Some of the ideas we have discussed include 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 from vendors who specialize in particular species, live demonstrations, or bringing in 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

The goal would be to add another fun and informative element to the expo without taking away from what everyone already enjoys about the show.

Hey everyone! I’m sure many of you are already aware that we’re putting together a different kind of event on November 21st , The Strange & Curious Bazaar.

We want to emphasize that this is an entirely separate event and not an addition to or extension of Scott Smith’s All Animal Expo. The Bazaar has its own theme, vendors, and atmosphere, focusing on oddities, curiosities, dark art, horror-inspired goods, unusual collectibles, and more.

If this sounds like your kind of event, be sure to follow The Strange & Curious Bazaar page. As we get closer to November, we’ll be sharing vendor announcements, sneak peeks, event updates, and plenty more.

We also still have vendor spaces available! If you or someone you know sells products that would be a good fit for the Bazaar, reach out to us. All vendors are curated to help us create the right mix for this new event.

We’re excited to bring something completely different to the Kane County Fairgrounds, and we hope some of our AAE family will come check it out!

We are officially 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 & 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗮𝗿, and we can’t wait to see this new event come to life!

We’ve been a little quiet over the summer, but that is about to change. With November getting closer, you’ll start seeing 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 as we count down to the first Bazaar.

The Strange & Curious Bazaar is a curated event, so we review vendors before sending out the registration link. If the products are a good fit and we haven’t already filled that particular category, we’ll send over the information needed to register.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗶𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴!

The original logo concept has now been recreated by hand on canvas using oil paints by artist 𝗧𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝘇𝗲r. Tom has decades of experience as an artist and also happens to be the uncle of one of the Bazaar’s founders, George Knaack, which makes having him create the original artwork even more special.

What an amazing day at Scott Smith’s All Animal Expo! 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 and a fantastic crowd throughout the day, the building was filled with incredible animals, unique finds, and plenty of excitement.

We loved seeing so many people heading home with new pets, supplies, and everything else they discovered at the show. Now we want to see what you found!
