Donna's Paws & Claws

Donna's Paws & Claws This is a home-based business. I offer quality, healthy pet treats baked in my home kitchen. Only natural, healthy ingredients go into my pet treats.

No wheat, corn, gluten, preservatives, fillers, sugar, or artificial color. I use organic brown rice and quinoa flours, agave syrup or honey, soy milk, fresh veggies (some of which are grown in my own garden) and other healthy stuff! I also make one-of-a-kind crocheted cat toys (My 2-yr-old, Myrrdin, LOVES them! He steals my newly created toys meant for sale whenever he can!) I plan on adding many

more new products in the future: hand-crafted metal raised feeding dishes (thanks to my welder boyfriend, Howard!) dog bandanas and toys, clothing, blankets - I have LOTS of ideas running through my head! I'm looking forward to offering all these wonderful things to our furred, scaled, and feathered friends!

We have been having problems with our Internet connection for the last week or so, and now have a brand-spanking-new broadband connection. Yay!!! Sorry for the inconvenience.

I found this information at the All Natural Pet Care .com web site in an article about West Nile Virus, but I felt that this information can be useful any time. So, I wanted to share it with my friends and customers.

Fresh, or high quality dehydrated foods and herbs that are noted for their anti-viral properties include:
Berries
Citrus fruit
Apples
Broccoli
Reishie or Sh*take mushrooms
Cauliflower
Spinach
Brussels sprouts
Kale
Tomatoes
Yogurt with active cultures
Krill
Raw honey
Dandelion leaves
Curcumin/Turmeric
Ginger
Chicory
Cinnamon
Lavender
Echinacea
Lemon Balm
Seaweed & Algae
Calcium Montmorillonite Clay
Unrefined, virgin coconut oil
Green Tea
Aloe Vera

You can easily add these ingredients to … pet food and treat recipes. Consult your veterinarian before making major changes in the diet or using herbs & essential oils.

Heavily-diluted essential oils may be used on dogs, horses and most livestock to repel insects through aromatherapy or in a natural shampoo. Naturally repel mosquitoes with Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea), Peppermint (Mentha piperita), Citronella (Cymbopogon nardas), and Lemon (Citrus limon). Do not use on or around birds and cats.

I just got home from a Spooktacular event here in Sacramento, located in the shopping center at Antelope Road and Lichen Drive. The Wildlife Care Association & Education Center had a booth there and I picked up some wonderful information! You should check them out at http://www.wildlifecareassociation.com/ and find out how you can help wild animals in need!
