Happy Hump Day! Let's chat about car safety and what that can look like for our dogs. In my SUV you'll find Ruffland kennels, my dogs crate tags with emergency info, and a first aid kit!
✅️ Rufflands are crash tested. They keep my dogs and clients dogs safe anytime we are on the road. I've seen too many loose dogs ejected from their cars during an accident. They panic (understandably) and are usually lost in the choas or hit by another car on the scene. It's just not a risk I'm willing to take.
✅️ Emergency Info. If I am unconscious or unable to return to my vehicle for any reason, their crate tags have all needed information. Dogs name, picture, medical info, behavioral/handling instructions, my personal contact information, emergency contact, and my consent to seek medical treatment.
✅️ First Aid Kit. You never know when you will need it! Ruthie enjoys eating bees. Cora always breaks a nail. Coy sticks his head in EVERY hole he can find. The list goes on and on 🫣 My kit is stocked with basic supplies like eye flush, bandages, wound spray, quik stop, benadryl, slip leash, muzzle, gloves, and a thermometer. I also keep Tylenol (not for dogs) and a few other human meds on hand just in case.
Accidents happen when we least expect it. I rest alittle easier knowing that I'm prepared for whatever may happen when we are out and about!
