Cryotherapy for Riders

Cryotherapy complements everything you’re already doing for YOU — massage, chiropractic, stretching, strengthening, mobility and more.

Massage releases soft tissue tension.
Cryo calms inflammation in those same tissues, helping them stay relaxed instead of tightening back up within a day or two.

Chiropractic restores alignment and joint function.
Cryo reduces inflammation around the joints and soft tissues, helping your body maintain those adjustments instead of slipping back into old patterns.

Stretching improves flexibility.
Cryo makes stretching more effective by reducing the inflammation and discomfort that limit your range of motion, helping you access a smoother, easier stretch.

Strengthening builds stability and balance.
Cryo helps you recover faster, reduces post workout soreness, and prevents compensations from creeping in as you build strength.

Mobility work keeps joints moving freely and improves functional movement.
Cryo reduces the inflammation that restricts joint glide and soft tissue movement, making mobility exercises feel easier and more productive.

Cryotherapy makes all your other wellness work “stick” better.

However, localized cryotherapy for riders isn’t just about easing your own soreness. Reducing inflammation, tightness, and pain in your body directly affects your horse — because we know that your horse feels everything you do in the saddle.

When your body moves more freely, your horse feels the difference:
• A more balanced seat = a more balanced horse
• Looser hips and lower back = clearer communication through the saddle
• Less rider tension = less bracing from the horse
• Better mobility = softer, more effective aids

Cryotherapy helps unwind those patterns. It reduces pain, restores mobility, and brings your body back to neutral so you can ride straighter, softer, and more symmetrical… which means your horse will have a better ability to also be straighter, softer and more symmetrical.

Taking care of yourself is taking care of your horse — and Cryotherapy is one of the fastest, gentlest ways to do it.

If you’d like to feel the difference in your next ride, I’m here to help.

Cryotherapy supports knee recovery by reducing inflammation and boosting circulation — beneficial for natural knees and for replaced knees once fully healed.

Common human knee issues include inflammation from overuse, soft‑tissue irritation, post‑surgical tightness, nerve sensitivity, and stiffness from long periods of sitting.

After sitting for ten hours a day for over three decades, I’ve now been moving more and started feeling some mild, but sharper, knee pain. Cryotherapy removed that discomfort and helped me keep moving with comfort and confidence. It takes only a few minutes! Text me today :)

Cryotherapy: A Win for Hoof Health

I’ve been using localized cryotherapy on my horses’ front hooves for tenderness and a long toe/low heel pattern.

It’s not perfect yet — but it’s working. At his last appointment, my farrier noted real improvement: better balance, less tenderness, and healthier mechanics. (📸 image with black leg)

The next image shows another horse who’d been shod, was very lame and brought to a master farrier. He mapped his hoof to illustrate how out of balance he was — the diagram helps illustrate the difference between a healthy hoof and one that needs assistance.

Cryotherapy isn’t just ice. It works faster and deeper, helping reduce inflammation and heat so the hoof can start to normalize.

Real progress. Happier feet.

I’m excited to share a powerful new tool for pain relief and recovery. I’m now certified to provide localized cryotherapy for both horses and humans, offering safe, targeted care in every session.

Freeze out pain. Boost recovery. Feel better — for YOU and your HORSE.

Using CO₂ at –110°F, cryotherapy creates a therapeutic thermal shock in just 30 seconds. This quick, gentle treatment helps reduce pain, ease tension, and support natural recovery. It’s one of the most effective ways to calm irritated tissues and reset the nervous system — and it pairs beautifully with bodywork.

Cryotherapy is ideal for:

🐴 Performance horses needing post‑workout relief
🐴 Horses with chronic soreness or stiffness
🧍‍♀️ Riders with tight muscles, nagging pain, or tension
🧍‍♀️ Anyone wanting faster recovery and deep relaxation

How it helps both horses and humans:

Calms overactive nerve activity

Improves circulation and tissue oxygenation

Reduces inflammation and soreness

Releases deep muscle tension

Supports natural healing and recovery

If you’d like to support your horse’s comfort — or your own — I’d love to help you experience the benefits of cryotherapy firsthand.
