For today’s , we have a very sweet (and slightly mischievous) update on Amber, now Gracie!❤️

Gracie is doing wonderfully in her new home and has become quite the little cuddle bug. She wants to be wherever her humans are, and has become great friends with her new feline sibling. 🥹

But… Gracie definitely has a wild side, too. Her family says she LOVES water and will try to sneak into the shower any chance she gets. 😹🚿 She also has an impressive collection of toys… which she apparently prefers to hide throughout the apartment for her humans to discover later. Sounds like one could never get bored around Gracie!

Sweet, cuddly, a little crazy, and loved to the max… Ut sounds like Gracie has found exactly where she belongs. ❤️

Thank you to her wonderful family for giving this girl such a happy home and for sharing this adorable update with us!

Celeste is STILL waiting… 🥺🩶

We introduced you to this beautiful girl earlier this week, but Celeste hasn’t found her forever family yet—so we’re asking you to please share her and help us change that.

At just 1 year old, Celeste has already been through quite a lot. She spent time living in a car with her family, and became a mom while she was still a kitten herself. Her babies have all found their fur-ever homes, and now we really want it to finally be Celeste’s turn! ❤️

Celeste is sweet, playful, and incredibly affectionate. New surroundings can make her a little unsure, and she tends to keep to herself around other cats—but when there’s a person around willing to give her some love and snuggles, she’s all about the attention! If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, go visit Celeste at Petco Cameron Park. Spend a little time with her, say hello, and maybe you’ll be the person she’s been waiting for.

A little midweek Happy Tail to brighten your day! ❤️

Shelby kept her name and is doing amazing in her new home!

She’s adapted beautifully to her new space, and just this week she’s started venturing out and exploring more and more of the house. Her family says she really seems to love it, and we love seeing that confidence grow! 🥹

Sometimes settling in happens one room at a time, and it sounds like Shelby is quickly realizing the whole house is hers now. 😹

Thank you to her wonderful family for giving Shelby the time, love, and space to make herself right at home!

Meet Celeste! 🩶✨

This beautiful 1-year-old Russian Blue mix has the most gorgeous charcoal grey coat, stunning gold eyes, and an equally sweet personality.

Celeste is loving, affectionate, and playful, but she’s already taken on a pretty big job for such a young cat: raising a litter of kittens! Celeste was rescued as a young momma, and she did her job well: all of her kittens have found their forever homes. 🥹 Now, it’s Celeste’s turn… Can we make it happen?

She’s ready to leave motherhood behind and find a family where she can be the one getting spoiled, loved, and cared for. ❤️

How is Sammy still waiting for her person? 🥺❤️

This sweet girl has been with us for a while now, and we’re sharing her video again because we know her perfect home is out there.

Sammy is 9 years old, affectionate, full of personality, and even has the cutest little meow. She loves attention and seeks out affection, but she’s also perfectly happy enjoying some quiet time of her own.

More than anything, Sammy would love a safe, warm home where she can finally relax and be someone’s one and only kitty. 🏡 She would thrive in a home without other pets, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself.

For today’s , we have an adorable update on Andi, now known as Kiwi! ❤️

Kiwi has adapted wonderfully to her new home and has already become buddies with her feline sibling, Shadow.

There’s just one problem… Kiwi was supposed to be her adopter’s lap cat. Instead, she decided to bond with the youngest daughter. 😹 Apparently Shadow agrees with that decision, because both cats absolutely adore her!

Sometimes you choose the cat… and sometimes the cat chooses someone else in the family. 😂

We’re so happy to see Kiwi settled in, making friends, and very clearly surrounded by people who love her.

Thank you to her wonderful family for giving Kiwi such a happy home!

A little midweek Happy Tail, because we just had to share this sweet update! ❤️

Amethyst is now Luna, and she has settled beautifully into her new home!

Her family says she’s adapted wonderfully to both her humans and her new kitty siblings, quickly becoming a very loved member of the family. 🥹

Here’s what her humans have shared with us:
“She is absolutely the sweetest little kitten and we are so grateful she is a part of our family.” ❤️

It sounds like Luna found exactly where she belongs, and we couldn’t be happier for her!

Volunteer Spotlight: Hard Work & Kitty Treats

We were happy to welcome the “Wild and Secular Homeschool” group back to Fat Kitty City for another day of volunteering at the sanctuary!

These amazing volunteers spent the day lending a hand with lots of cleaning around the sanctuary, helping us care for the space that our cats call home. After all that hard work, there was still time for one of the best parts of volunteering at Fat Kitty City: handing out some well-earned treats to the kitties! 😻

A huge thank you to the students and parents from the Wild and Secular Homeschool group for continuing to give their time and energy to help our furry residents. We truly appreciate your support, and all the hard work you put in! Thank you for being a part of our mission! 💛
