๐จ Tick Alert for Our Area ๐จ
Ticks are out in full force, and tick-borne illnesses are on the rise in our area. With all the tall grass, woods, fields, and backyard exploring our dogs love so much, itโs more important than ever to stay on top of prevention.
A few simple things can make a big difference:
๐พ Use a vet-approved flea and tick preventative
๐พ Check your dog after walks, hikes, potty breaks, and playtime
๐พ Pay extra attention to ears, under collars, between toes, armpits, bellies, and around the tail
๐พ Keep grass and brush trimmed around your yard
๐พ Remove ticks promptly and safely
๐พ Call your vet if you notice fever, limping, lethargy, loss of appetite, swelling, or anything unusual after a tick bite
As groomers, we do our best to watch for ticks during appointments, but prevention really starts at home. A quick once-over after outside time can help protect your dog and catch problems early.
Stay safe, check those pups, and donโt forget โ ticks are gross little jerks. ๐ท๏ธ๐ถ
