600 SHARES! FIVE DOGS STILL NEED FOSTER HOMES! ONE HAS OUT OF STATE ADOPTION INTEREST ALREADY!
UPDATE: We have successfully gotten 5 pups out of the shelter and into their foster homes where they will stay until adoption! We have #6 leaving the shelter to go to a temp foster home tomorrow, but she still needs a foster until adoption (she already has out of state adoption interest). That leaves the FINAL FOUR in the shelter!! Sasha, Darla, Josie, and Skye. Let’s get them out! We cannot leave any of them behind and they are ALL at risk of euthanasia. That risk goes up every single day they stay there. So far, they have all been very sweet and very chill, dog friendly, cat friendly, goat friendly, kid friendly, potty trained and crate trained. The perfect foster pup! Stop waiting for the next person to step up.
We honestly don’t know what else to do.
Our original post asking for fosters for this family has been shared more than 200 times on Facebook alone, yet not a single foster has stepped up for the 10 Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd/maybe St. Bernard mixes still sitting at the Greenville shelter.
Please stop waiting for the next person to step up.
Every single day these dogs remain at the shelter, they are at greater risk of being euthanized for space. Shares help us reach people, but we cannot save these dogs without somewhere for them to go.
So far, we have been able to take in one of them: Miracle. And she has been an absolute sweetheart.
Despite coming to us in rough shape and clearly having been bred over and over, Miracle is incredibly sweet and loves people. She loves being brushed and is:
🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 Cat friendly
🐾 Goat friendly
🐾 Crate trained
🐾 Potty trained
She is not chicken friendly, but hey, nobody’s perfect. 😅
Miracle has shown us exactly why these dogs deserve a chance.
There are still 10 members of her family sitting in the shelter waiting for someone to give them that same chance.
We know people love these big, fluffy Pyr mixes. We know there are people in our community capable of fostering one. We need someone to stop scrolling, stop assuming somebody else will do it, and step up.
Fostering is temporary. Ruff Road Revival provides the veterinary care and support. You provide the safe place they need to get out of the shelter alive.
Please help us get these dogs to safety.
If you can foster, fill out our foster application linked in the comments.
And yes, please keep sharing — but if you have been thinking, “I wish I could help,” and you have the ability to foster, this is us asking you to turn that thought into action.
They need someone. Why not you? 🐾
