Summer is officially here, and the heat is on! ☀️ 🐾

Keeping our furry friends safe and cool during the hot summer months is a top priority. Here are a few quick and easy tips to help your pet beat the heat:

💦 Water Play: Set up a shallow kiddie pool in the yard and let your dog splash around to cool down.
🧊 Frozen Treats: Freeze some water or low-sodium broth with their favorite snacks inside for a long-lasting, icy treat!
🦮Cooler Walks: Adjust your walking routine! Head out in the early mornings or late evenings when the pavement and air are much cooler.
🥤 Stay Hydrated: Always keep fresh water accessible. Toss a few ice cubes into their bowl for an extra refreshing chill.
✂️ Grooming: Brush out excess fur frequently or schedule a summer trim to help them manage their coat and stay comfortable.

🚨 URGENT NEED: Our Pet Food Pantry is Running Low! 🚨

We are facing a critical shortage of pet food donations and are running low on supplies to give out to local pet owners in need. If you are able to help, our community's beloved friends need you right now! 🐾

📦 What We Need Most:
- Dry & Wet Dog Food (Any brand!)
- Dry & Wet Cat Food (Any brand!)
- Dog & Cat Treats
- Cat Litter (Can be opened, though food is our highest priority)

⚠️Donation Guidelines: Food must be unopened and unexpired.
Please note: While we love and use Hill’s Science Diet, it is reserved exclusively for the animals currently living in our shelter. For our public food assistance program, any other brand is perfectly acceptable and deeply appreciated!

📍 How to Donate:
- Drop-Off Locations: Intake Center, 150 Corporation Yard Rd, Roseville, CA or 200 Tahoe Avenue Roseville, CA 95678
- Days & Hours: Tuesday – Sunday, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Tax Receipts: Available upon request at drop-off!

The 4th of July is the busiest time of the year for animal shelters, as fireworks can easily frighten pets into running away. Give your furry family member the best chance of finding their way back to you by getting your pet microchipped at our upcoming Walk-In Microchip Clinics!

No appointments are needed, just walk right in!
