Many may not realize their sacrifice. It was more than paws and boots on the ground. We will remember them, always.

Well... our hearts have officially melted. ❤️

Today we got a surprise visit from our wonderful Holy Chow! family, Amy & David, who stopped by to restock for their handsome boy, Bane... but they also introduced us to the newest member of their family...

✨ Meet Kai! ✨

Kai is a 13-week-old Dogue de Bordeaux who already tips the scales at 31 pounds! His paws are even bigger than Bane's were at the same age, so we're pretty sure this sweet boy has some serious growing left to do.

And can we just talk about that face?! Those wrinkles. Those eyes. That smile. We were completely smitten the moment he hopped out of the Jeep.

Kai has already pre-joined the Holy Chow! family, and we can't wait to watch him grow alongside big brother Bane. We have a feeling these two are going to be quite the duo!

Welcome to the Holy Chow! family, Kai. We can't wait to see all the adventures ahead.

❤️🐾

At Holy Chow! Pet Food, we believe dogs deserve real food made with real ingredients you can recognize and trust. That’s why our Blessed Blend includes chicken quarters (bone and all-ground down) sourced directly from H.E.B. Never mystery meat, fillers, or by-products.

Chicken is an excellent lean protein for adult dogs because it helps support:
🐾 Strong muscles and healthy body condition
🐾 Energy and stamina for active lifestyles
🐾 Healthy skin and a shiny coat
🐾 Immune system support through essential amino acids
🐾 Easy digestion for many dogs

Protein is one of the most important building blocks in your dog’s body, and whole chicken provides naturally occurring nutrients that help maintain healthy muscles, organs, and overall vitality as dogs age.

And because we slow-cook our recipes in small batches, those nutrients are preserved in a wholesome, delicious way dogs absolutely love.

Holy Chow! Pet Food is:
😇made homemade, with love, in Rockwall, TX
😇filled with a balanced blend of nutrient-rich ingredients
😇supports health inside and out
😇available in 3 lb or 5 lb frozen bags (thaw & serve)
😇faith-led and family-made

Bucky was recently diagnosed with Calcium Oxalate Crystals (CaOx) 💔

As much as we love our Holy Chow! recipes, we quickly realized that some of our nutrient-dense ingredients, like spinach, sweet potatoes, and blueberries, aren’t ideal for his specific condition.

While his vet recommended prescription kibble, I just couldn’t bring myself to go that route… so down the research rabbit hole I went 🐇

Today, we made Bucky his very first custom, low-oxalate, human-grade batch, fresh, simple, and made just for him. This batch should last about 5 days, and we’ll be monitoring his progress closely over the next few weeks.

If all goes well, we may be onto something bigger… 👀 A specialty formula for pups like Bucky.
Stay tuned 💜

💩 What Your Dog’s P**p Says About Their Health 🐶✨

Let’s be honest… if you have a dog, you’re checking their p**p. (Don’t worry — we all do it 😅)

But did you know your dog’s stool is one of the BIGGEST indicators of their overall health?

Here’s a quick guide to what’s normal — and what’s not 👇

🟤 Dark Brown & Firm (THE GOLD STANDARD)
✔ Easy to pick up
✔ Holds its shape
✔ Not overly smelly

👉 This means your dog is digesting food properly and absorbing nutrients — exactly what we aim for with Holy Chow! 🐾

🟫 Light Brown or Large Stool
⚠️ May indicate lower-quality food or poor absorption
👉 The body is passing more waste instead of using nutrients

💦 Soft or Mushy Stool
⚠️ Could be from diet changes, stress, or sensitivity
👉 Keep an eye on it if it lasts more than 24–48 hours

💧 Diarrhea
🚨 Time to pay attention
👉 Can be caused by illness, bacteria, or something they shouldn’t have eaten

⚫ Black & Tarry (Super healthy p**p can look almost black so look for the Tarry part)
🚨 Call your vet
👉 This can indicate digested blood and should not be ignored

🔴 Red Streaks
⚠️ Possible irritation or inflammation
👉 Monitor closely or consult your vet

🐾 What we LOVE seeing from Holy Chow! dogs:
✔ Smaller stools
✔ Firm texture
✔ Dark brown color
✔ Less odor

Because when dogs eat real, wholesome food… their bodies actually USE it 💪

👉👉👉Drop a 💩 in the comments if you’ve noticed a difference since switching to fresh food — we’d love to hear your experience!
