🚨SPOTLIGHT SENIOR🚨

This precious boy is DC. He came to us 13 days ago. Sadly his owner passed away. He absolutely does not understand what is going on. He is our only cat in the cat room at this time. DC is 13 years old. He is weighing in at 12 pounds. This is his golden years and he is ready to go to a loving home. We spend time with him daily and he will now come up and love on us. The dogs that are barking scare him. We are having a hard time getting him to eat. He is not thriving here. He’s sad, scared and confused. He is a very sweet and loving boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and litter box trained. He is also strictly an indoor cat. Let’s get this guy home. He needs all the love he can get!

STATUS for supporters and friends of the rescue: While funds are limited, I never forego the best care that can be given to the special needs animals. Thank you to all of you who have been able to help whatever you can this year. It is a struggle for all !
The two senior cats in rescue have just received their bloodwork results:
💕🐾💕"Tori Catmos", (pictured on the dresser) is 20 years old, still jumps and eats good. Her test results are perfect, yay!! 💕🐾💕
💕🐾💕"Tommy" is the gray and white senior. He was suspected by me to have hyperthyroid, but his thyroid is fine. This, because he is eating well, but losing weight. This also has been his 3rd test within a year because he is 19 and has had bowel issues for quite a while. He has a high WBC which means either possibility of infection or inflammation. The vet says it is inflammation and that he is in IRIS stage 3 moderate renal disease. She recommended that I subq him daily, which I am doing for the rest of his life. He is also on a regimen to keep him as comfy and as healthy as the old man deserves. I hate when their days are numbered, but as long as they are jumping and eating, one must do whatever they need. 💕🐾💕

This is Jody Beskini from Dove Road and I have been busy working a full time job, fixing the 5 acres, feeding and caring for many special needs animals so have had NO TIME FOR THIS PAGE. If someone wants to post Middle TN senior animals, please either PM me and let me know, or you are welcome to help admin if Facebook will allow it. I have no idea what they have done to the pages because some of them are ruined. This is a worthy cause is to save senior animals and post them !

It's and Jazz is a lovely and affectionate 10 year old Maine C**n mix who was recently returned, because sadly the adopter was allergic to her. Shelter life was a little overwhelming for her, so she is in a foster home. Jazz particularly loves to have her ears, neck and face scratched and petted. She would make a wonderful companion for an older human as she enjoys sitting beside laps and sounds like a motorboat when being petted. This beautiful girl would do best in a quiet home without young children. In her original home, Jazz formerly lived with another cat.

All adoptable cats have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, combo tested for FeLV and FIV, dewormed, given flea control and are up to date on vaccinations and rabies shots.
