🌮 TACO ’BOUT A LOT OF BLANKETS! 🌮😂

I know y’all are probably tired of hearing me say how much I appreciate your patience, but this past week, I REALLY mean it! ❤️ This baby is giving me a run for my money and has had me down for the count the last few days… if not the last few months! 🤣 Pregnancy is no joke, y’all!

We’re working hard to finish up a LOT of blankets, and many will be ready for pickup at the beginning of next week! You’ll receive an invoice in your email when your blankets are ready. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

A quick reminder as we head into the next few weeks: I’m still accepting blankets for washing and waterproofing! Blankets needing repairs can still be dropped off, too, but those repairs may take longer than our normal turnaround time and may not be ready until I’m back working after baby arrives. I’ll be taking some time off to welcome this little one, so I appreciate y’all being understanding as we navigate this busy season and a new baby! 🩷

With cooler temps approaching, please remember that any blankets dropped off at this point are NOT guaranteed to be completed before the temperatures drop.

Blankets requiring repairs may take additional time, so please keep that in mind when dropping off!

If your horses are going to need blankets when the cold weather gets here, please get them dropped off THIS WEEK!

We are already at about a 2-week turnaround, and this baby girl could decide to show up at literally any time. 👶🏼😂

And honestly… Mama is getting TIRED. 😂

I want to get as many blankets as possible cleaned, waterproofed and repaired and back to their horses BEFORE I disappear for maternity leave.

So if those blankets are sitting in a pile somewhere thinking, “She’ll get to us eventually…”

PLEASE make sure your blanket tag is completely filled out and placed INSIDE the trash bag with the blanket.

Please do not tape the tag to the bag or safety pin it to the blanket. 🙏🏼

I absolutely appreciate the extra effort to make sure the tag doesn’t disappear, BUT… now we have to cut tags off trash bags or unpin them from blankets, and those extra little steps add up and slow down the process. 😂

And if a blanket comes in with NO TAG, it will be placed in our lost & found.

Thankfully, our lost & found is currently EMPTY, and I’d really like to keep it that way! 😂🤍

Blankets are ONLY repaired if the tag specifically says “WASH + REPAIR.”

We are moving through a LOT of blankets right now, and unfortunately we do not have the time to completely inspect every blanket for repairs while processing them.

So before you stuff that blanket into a trash bag, take a quick look at it! 👀

Broken straps? Tears? Loose stitching? Something your horse has clearly had a personal vendetta against? 😂

Just make sure you mark WASH + REPAIR on the tag and we’ll be happy to take care of it! 🤍

People sometimes ask me, “Why do you keep these horses? They take so much of your time and money. Without them you could have a beautiful home, take nice vacations, and live with so much more freedom.”

And they’re not wrong. Horses do take a lot. They cost money, time, and energy. They keep me tied down to a barn full of chores, schedules, and responsibilities.

But what they don’t see is that this is where I meet with God the most.

I find Him when I’m scrubbing water troughs, reminded that He is the Living Water who refreshes my soul
I find Him in the mess of cleaning stalls, remembering that He is the One who washes me clean and makes me new
I find Him while I’m working my horse, learning patience and trust, just as He gently teaches and guides me
I find Him in the quiet of the barn, where the world slows down enough for me to hear His still small voice

The barn is my sanctuary. The work is my worship. The horses are not just a responsibility—they are a holy reminder that God meets us right in the middle of the mess, the routine, the ordinary.

So yes, horses take so much from me. But through them, God gives me far more: His presence, His peace, and His voice in the quiet. And that is worth more than anything this world could offer.
